   I’ve read a number of posts where Hooper is criticised for not trying during his last 6 months with the club. And it must have looked that way for so many to have that opinion.

    

    

   However, how does that fit in with the idea that he wanted a move to the EPL in order to maximise his chances of getting a berth I the England squad?

    

    

   Surely any deterioration in performances would be contradictory to that aim.

    

    

   Whilst it cannot be denied that sometimes it looked that way, my opinion is that he was not fit. Caused by repeatedly having studs raked down the back of his heels. With consent for the officials I may add. Remember he was out of action for a while with that very injury. And I don’t think he fully recovered from it. Moreover, I think we he did return he was immediately targeted with the same tactic.

    

    

   Therefore running about in the manner that might suggest he is trying really hard was not an option.

    

    

   Just my opinion.

   Charliemac you are entitled to have your opinion on neil lennon. a lot on here don’t like it when somebody sees lenny as not a very good coach ,me I would like to see a change myself. I have never been a supporter of neil lennon. oh well that will be me being called a hun for the hundredth time on here.
