  1. Talk about grinding them out..pheww

Congratulations neil on another obstacle cleared on the way to the title.

PS.last time we should see poor Joe Ledley at left back

  2. ST

Don’t you think Neil put out the team he thought would do the job and then tweaked his tactics and his subs very astutely?

No need to answer that rhetorical question btw.

  3. 0-2 in absolutely horrendous web supporting conditions.

Well done every player today. Every player.

Celtic are going to lose today.

This is total rubbish and St Mirren want it more

Snake! Come on…admit it…you feel slightly sheepish now?

I honestly thought we were going to drop something today and but for Forster we would have.

    Dead right.

Easily forgotten ,but a crucial aspect of today`s win.

  6. Hard fought victory, St Mirren pressed us for most of the match and the weatherwas a big factor. Given the high probability of the influence of the weather pre match, I couldn’t see the logic in starting KI, not a player that is dependable in those conditions and away from home. having said that the 2 subs changed the game gave us the energy at the right time. Broonie & Big FF can take a bow today terrific performances.

  7. Scott Brown Played a Captain’s role today. Kept the team together 1st half . Second half made a goal scored a goal. Shifted by the manager to fire fight in positions made week by world class players like Ki. Broonie and Fraser were by far our best players today. two guys that dug in and got us the points.

  8. ianinascol

They played the same song when the teams ran out.

Doesnt that guy down there have previous?

  9. It makes you laugh at all this sheep lying down to us crap,

i was reading the sheep haven’t won at the bigotdome for over twenty years.

Maybe today will be the day.

  10. Players deserve credit for digging that out.

Neil made a mistake with his initial selection. Think Stokes should have started, possibly also Commons. Ki just vanishes in these conditions, and Cha is a bit of a liability at times.

Today was a good example of our large squad getting us over the line. Also, 2 superb finishes. Course, Burley can only concentrate on supposed Saints defensive weaknesses.

Nice start to the weekend, hopefully Aberdeen can ignore the last 20% of their history, and actually get a result at the Death Star.

  11. Good win against a team on form. This was never going to be an easy game and three points in the bag is a fine outcome.

The winning run continues. The momentum is with us. Now it’s up to the huns to try to respond

  12. Philbhoy - It's just the beginning! on

    Strange team selection today.

    Very poor weather conditions.

    Effective early substitutions.

    Great goals.

    Fantastic result.

Wonderful to be a Celtic supporter.

    WOOOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!

  13. Its academic now but the match official were dreadful

last word big Fraser was excellent

  14. Excellent result.

My MOTM was The Big Yin in goals. Broony and Joe runners up.

St Murn deserve a lot of credit, they played really well if a bit cynically at times. Gutted for Rogne, his performances of late should have been rewarded with what was a perfectly good goal.

    The run continues.

    BroonSauce

  15. Well done big Fraser that was a match winning show from you

    3 points and job done

now what was that ref playing at today..seriously!

all those scouts in the stands must be thinking ‘what a total joke of a league’

something has to be done – pdq

meanwhile, winning games and trophies in these circumstances is what makes it so damned sweeeet

    NEXT?

    HH

    M

  16. Another 3 points,5 clear,Forster and Broonie did the business.

Ki and Sammy stopped our movement today.

The ref. was a useless, cheating swine.

    KTF

  17. Forrest given MOTM

    nonsense

scored a good goal but did very little else

FF was the most influential player imo

  18. How will the teddies handle the pressure?

Of course Shortbread don’t waste a moment even contemplating such a horrible vista and quickly move to how the huns will reduce the deficit……….

    They don’t even notice anymore.

    HHH.

  19. Not often I congratulate the opposition but fair play to St Mirren’s players, with the exception of Imrie who was gash and is also a thug. I thought St Mirren were excellent today. A good performance from the also rans usually means they have limited us or them uns but offer little else. St Mirren played some decent stuff and made a few chances. Forster and two quality strikes were the difference today.

We look like champions. I like that.

Right, I’m an Aberdonian for the next two or three hours – see ya…..

  20. Game very much as expected and still easy for me to see why NL selected just one up front.

The pitch is too narrow for football, and you can’t play on the deck as it bobbles everywhere, I’ve yet to see a good played there.

Consequently Sammi never got going, but when Forrest was switched to the right Celtic began to take control, by which time it was too late for the panic to have set in among the CQN fireside support.

A grinding difficult win against a team in our face, who scrapped and broke dangerously for Fraser Forster to demonstrate once and for all, he’s the man between the sticks for Celtic.

Well done Celtic, superb away win, text messages to friends who got a ticket for the game and went and supported the 17 point swingers.

    Hail Hail

  21. Good decision by Neil Lennon to keep James Forrest on the pitch. I thought he was posted missing and deserved the hook.

    HH

  22. Broony good? bad? Debatable. Lenny sel good/bad? Debatable.

Officials tried to steal 2 points from us? Not debatable. They did try.

The cheating was every bit as important as the 3 points today. It proves we will need to be 2 goals better than everyone or we will be dropping points soon.

  23. Philbhoy - It's just the beginning! on

    Is hately burleys brother.

They look very like each other.

    So they do.

  24. Hope Neil figures that Ki neutralises any attacking threat we have.

    Fantastic Brown and Fraser.

    Commons makes adifference

  25. Brown played well in first half

was poor for the first 20 mins of the second

then set up JF`s goal and scored a very good goal himself ….

he was our best outfield player

Masterstroke by Lenny to bring on Commons and Stokes :-)

Kojo I agree re Commons, we need to find a place for him in the starting 11, him and Stokes made a difference, the substitutions changed the game so well done to Lenny for making the changes in time.

I’d make FF our man of the match for keeping us in the game.

Commons made a HUGE difference when he came on. Not just at the top end of the pitch but also tracking back to dig in at the back.

I hope I don’t jinx him when I say that he looks like starting the 2nd half of this season like he started the 2nd half of last season. If he get’s even close to last year’s perfomance then the title is in the bag!

Superb effort from the Bhoys today in tough conditions. Really solid 3 points against a side that has taken 4 points off them in their last two games. Fraser Forster was MOM today. Several good saves and just looked confident all day. What a strike from Broonie. A double take of his goal against them and a reminder for everyone that ‘the Broonie’ lives on. Fantastic to see Commons back out there. He made the difference when he came on. Well done Lenny for leaving Forrest on when he really should have been hooked based on his contribution up to his goal. 12 in a row and the Bhoys go 5 clear. Hail Hail

Nope. Played at the start as well

  27. Also think St Mirren made a mistake – their best spell was when they attacked. The decision to defend actually did them no favours in the end.
