Excellent result for a Celtic side clearly playing for weeks, with Turin on their minds, and the sooner we get them game out the way, the better.
Two well taken goals against a stuffy pumped up St Mirren, Celtic never got into top gear and NL decided not to chase the game when we were leading in the second half, instead invited the home side on, and could have clinched it, playing on the counter.
Well done Celts, role on the semi final, and the double.

Really poor 2nd half performance, maybe some of the bhoys we have been eulogising about are not as good as we thought or is fatigue setting in, this must have been our 45th match of the season. As the game progressed I thought St.Mirren would run out of legs in last 20 mins but they didn’t. Again hard to pick out Stars. FF for his one handed save earned his corn, Adam & Kelvin did O.K. Joe & Stoksey tried hard and wee James had a few moments of brilliance & set up the 2 goals. I’m delighted & relieved to get through but far from satisfied with performance.
I thought St Mirren played well today come on bhoys praise when praise is due.Well done Danny Lennon I like that wee guy.
Not since Liam Brady was in charge have we been so lightweight.
Out tackled , and outmuscled , all over the pitch.
And it isn’t a one off.
It happened 2nd half against St J, against Dundee ( until the sending odd),the whole of the Motherwell match.
Midfielders playing in defence, fullbacks who are more comfortable attacking than defending.
Defensively we are a shambles.
The Sieve is well and truly back.
Thank God for Fraser Forster.
Our record under Lenny in domestic cups is shocking.
Our CL results have saved Lenny.
For me the jury is out on his managerial capabilities.

Great to see young Forrest back to fitness and form today, and altogether, a win in the cup is the singular requirement so job done.
However…
Ambrose and Izzy need to up the concentration big time. I saw some stuff from each of them today that you don’t see from top players, and given both had similar issues in the last match, today was not a one off.

I think in recent months many teams have adopted a high tempo,in our faces strategy.
I think many teams are Sussing Barcelona similarly .
Ironically , Barca did not like us getting in their faces, stopping them settling into their tic tac pass rhythm.
We CELTIC need a plan B to combat this.
We cannot play slowly at times.
Just my observation . It might be rubbish, but it’s what I see.
