Andy Murray wins what will undoubtedly be the most tortuous match of his career earlier this evening. Up a break 4 times pulled back each time the very next game. I would be surprised if that has ever has happened to him before.

Was going pretty well I thought until the inexplicable red card, how on earth he managed to give a red for that is beyond me. I was ready to slate the ref as he reached for his pocket, thinking he was reaching for a yellow, before I was left speechless!
The penalty replays were cringeworthy, the ref had a perfect view of the dive outside the area, blatant cheating. No wonder Izzy was fuming, like all the players.
As for tanner and McCann at the end, absolute disgrace, surprised broony didn’t give them a piece of his mind! Equals things out, and when McGowan practically said the red card was harsh, tanner has the cheek to say paul said it was! Dear oh dear

As for Henrik in Seville I have never liked fitba as much since. Sure I love watching Barca demolish Milan say or a great player like Pirlo against England last summer. But that oh so hot night when Henrik became a great player – by any standard- was a zenith of actually loving the game which maybe began with that great Brazil team and its loss to am Italian team which rose to the occasion.
Of course football was my favourite sport and the Celts of my childhood and adolescence were wonderful but the 82 Cup and Socrates were something exotic. We had Maradonna in 86 and Milan slaughtering Madrid 5-0 and Serie A on C4 and football as art. And there was the greatest Celt in thirty years scoring a wonderfully athletic header against a great team.
Sorry for going on here – some malt may have been taken- but I recall on that numblingly hot day on Seville my friend Tony – brother of Pablopanque- asking that if we won would it not be better if we just never went back as nothing could be good again. Of course the rest of us pooh-poohed him – but I remember getting on a bus a couple of Sundays later on my way to see my mum and it suddenly hitting me that Tony was right.
I still love the Celts and my time in Oz made my love for them stronger . But the fitba? Great sport. Played by cheats and run by crooks.

I was at the game today and haven’t had the time to read back.
I really was disgusted with some of the performances from Celtic players today, it would seem that many of them are away on holiday already.
Yes the officiating was abject but that’s no excuse for lack of interest, passion, application and desire, all of which were in short supply today.
Neil Lennon also needs to have a good look at some of his decisions. Bringing on Watt when 3 mins of injury time have already been announced. Why???

Totally agree. Maybe it’s just the night those of us who’d been too young to truly appreciate Lisbon and who’d lived through the calamity of Milan and the ignominy of the early nineties finally grew up. For my 50th I was given a picture of the support I’m the stadium by a younger relatve. He understood me and what that team , that night meant to me. I hope our young fans have their Seville. And this time we win!

I can sympathise with a fair bit of what you post but the answer to your Tony Watt question is :-
a) Why Not?
b) To waste time
c) fresh legs to chase down any threatening break
d) Because we can
e) To show Tony he can be forgiven but is not yet rehabilitated
f) Because Lenny wanted to give him an appearance bonus
g) To break rhythm in play
h) to annoy Hamilton Tim
i) Your 3rd substitution late in the game is a much overrated concept
j) All of the above and more
In short, it is not important and option a) would have sufficed.
SFTB
What has Watt done wrong .?
Has there been a fall out between and the management ?
offcourse the 57 final was allways known for the manager not picking Stein and Higgins who had returned from long term injuries,
and a faction in the support split over rosettes (traditional) vs badges (modernists).
Longmuir is Sevco’s puppet.
What a set up.
I really wasn’t sure about 12-12-18 proposals before.
Now I am certain I want them.
