Great shift from the Bhoys. We’re into next round, that’s all that matters. Comfortable in the end 6-1 on aggregate. No doubt some will find issues with the performance. Not me. Love the Celts.

Into the next round ok but let’s put the sometimes nervy performance down to a poor surface and early season rust.
Need to up a gear next week against Qarabag so that we don’t go away needing a big result. A bit about our opponents …
The club play in the capital city Baku, which sits on the edge of the Caspian Sea and has a population of around 2.2 million.
Travelling fans can expect to get a quality plate of food and bottle of beer for less than £10 in a local cafe. The current exchange rate is 61p for every 1 Azerbaijani Manat.
Qarabağ play their home matches at the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium, which doubles up as the home of the Azerbaijan national football team.
The atmosphere can be rather flat in league matches but locals turn out in droves for European ties with an average of just under 18,000 attending last season’s Europa League matches.

Griffiths has always been suspect off the park and has always been top drawer on it. Check his record from age 16…
I said this when we signed him. Great signing and he will mature out of being a bashed off the pitch and will improve on it. Best thing is he’s not likely to interest other ‘bigger’ clubs. He could develop in to a Celtic legend imo

And an assist from Chico muldini. … the prodigal soon… anyone who thinks this guy isn’t a footballer have never played football.

credit to CM tonight … not a bad shift at left back. After their goal, we weren’t really threatened, but you can only play who is in front of you, and CM looked decent.
the last 20 minutes or so, we definitely picked up our pace and movement …. some of it is surely that they tired, and clearly RD has our guys in good shape …. we still need to figure out how to get that fluidity and movement in the final third right from the off, and not just the last 20 minutes or so …
Did the Shortbread team just pop some Eckies or did we just put on a professional performance to away European minnows in the second half ?

A comfortable 4-1 win tonight, 6-1 on aggregate, in our first 2 competitive games of the season (during the Glasgow Fair as well!).
However, I’ve got the nagging feeling I should I be disappointed and fearful for my team.
