When this publishes, I should be a few kilometres into the Great Scottish Run. These events can be humbling. You see people there with messages on their shirts. ‘The big C’ gets a lot of mentions, in many of its forms, as does heart disease and conditions most of us will, fortunately, be less familiar with. Some simply have a loved one’s smiling photograph on their back. Their former feeling of helplessness matured into purposeful action.
I’m running for Celtic Charity’s 1254125 campaign. This is not something controlled or even organised by the club, but it is fundamental to what Celtic Football Club is. The Celtic Movement was called together in a church hall in November 1887 to alleviate the distress of poverty in those unable to feed themselves. It is different from other clubs because it started differently and has since walked unfamiliar roads.
The spirit to help others has been increasingly self-evident in recent years but I am sure the commitment has become more embedded as a result of 1254125. It is now part of our routine, what we know to expect from ourselves.
We will only stay different if you and I continue to insist we walk (or run) unfamiliar roads. We all worry about where our club is going. There is little we can do about many potential dangers but we can make sure Celtic remains anchored to the spirit which founded it. You can support 1254125 through the MyDonate page I setup to convince me I shouldn’t give up halfway through this run. Your support is appreciated.
Yesterday we lost Cllr George Ryan, or St John Doyle, as he was known on these pages. George touched the lives of hundreds of people but unless you were in direct contact, you would not know what he did for the people of Glasgow, for Celtic supporters in difficulty, or even for the Thai Tims. He was an exceptional Celtic man who lived the way exceptional Celtic people have ever since that meeting in St Mary’s Hall.

EddieinKirkmichael, it isn’t that I hate them, it’s that I don’t understand them, I don’t understand when we do something positive they do a negative and say we are the same, Seville, Manchester as an example, Lisbon, Barcelona another.
But there are so many others, our charitable foundation gives, theirs takes.
And they think this all makes them superior, they are beyond contempt.
And I never want that support, no matter who they follow back at our home.
Incidentally Duck ( hoops Doc) that was good for you :-)
Hail hail

Exactly how I feel and act and why I never ever want to play any Hun reincarnation

I’ll talk to my mate tomorrow he sits beside me at Parkhead. If he’s willing to take TBJ ticket then you can have mine and that would give you 2 seats together mate.
CRC
You can tell the CQN Bailiffs to back off. All paid up.
Last thing I want is Kojo lnocking on my door with his sidekicks.
Hail Hail
If we ever play THEM at Celtic Park again I won’t be in attendance.
If it’s a cup game the only question for me is do I buy the ticket anyway and make sure my seat remains empty.

I don’t believe the refs are working to their own agenda, if they were, they would be up in front of the beaks having to answer to their obvious failings.
They are acting on orders from above, of that there is no doubt.
This is where I am astounded at the silence from the club.
We are getting players injured as part of the norm, it wouldn’t be so bad if the assisins were getting punnished, but nada, zilch.
lasley was a red card all day long.
Our players, and only our players getting booked for leaving the field, and even for having the audacity to score merits a booking from out hun referees.
The club need to grow a pair.
Oh, and I never want to play them again.
If the truth be told, I don’t even bother looking for their results any more, I didn’t know they were playing today until I looked for the english results.
Long may that continue.
HH
Lennybhoy, I know that, but those 2 could go to some other worthy CQN cause ?
4 together would better for family than 2
Point is I’m sure the CQN Bhoys would fund such a cause
Hail hail

Great post earlier about why, regardless of when/if we play Sevco you would still be there supporting Celtic.
I’m in agreement but I’m also very aware of the turmoil that decision is causing good, honest Celtic supporters.

I am sure I have contributed, check with CRC. If it was different charity, I will gladly contribute.

Sorry to be a pest but will the 21yo and the 11yo be sitting together?
Watched 2 prog this morning where they discussed the spacial one’s anti diving comment -both refered to the disgraceful diving of porto at seville -so even outside the Celtic family his tactics in that game are soundly condemed
Doc
We weren’t paranoid enough.
How feckin sad is that.

My old granny had a great saying when she found a very small egg in the box. “that wan didnae streech its erse did it”?
Thanks Weefra.
Quick question before shoot the crow:
How do you prevent the ducks and geese from flying away?
Do you clip their wings,or do they know where home is through instinct?
Cowiebhoy 20:59:
That would be awesome.
WeefratheTim 21:01:
Cross purposes mate, not necessarily looking for donations but two tickets together for Ajax on 22/10/2013 for two of St. John Doyle’s kids.

CRC, very good idea, a corporate night, spread cost around a number of us.
