Companies House published the long overdue Annual Return for The Rangers Football Club Ltd (previously Sevco Scotland Ltd) today. Although only received by Companies House yesterday (12 Sep 13) it was dated 29th May 2013, however, the submission was incomplete.
A company is required to detail all their shareholders since their previous Annual Return (or as in this instance, since formation). Companies House say the Annual Return must detail “the name of every shareholder (or joint-shareholders) who has ceased to be a shareholder since the made-up date of the previous annual return (or in the case of a first return, since the incorporation of the company)”.
The only shareholder detailed on this Annual Return is Rangers International Football Club PLC (RIFC PLC). RIFC PLC was not formed until 16 November 2012, nearly four months after Sevco Scotland Ltd was formed, so could not have been a founding shareholder.
And there’s more…….
The Rangers Football Club Ltd issued a Statement of Capital to Companies House, dated 31 October 2012, showing the same number of shares in issue as this Annual Return (33,415,200), some two weeks before Rangers International was formed. The Statement of Capital was submitted by Caroline Nicholls of Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP, who should be in a position to assist the directors.
I’d never really given any consideration to who owned Sevco Scotland Ltd prior to the shares being consumed by Rangers International, but this omission is curious. The story will move on now with auditors Deloittes taking centre stage. They have plenty on their plate prior to signing off the PLC’s accounts so may be happy to turn a blind eye to the reporting requirements of a subsidiary company. Companies House already have an active issue over submissions for Sevco 5088 Ltd, it remains to be seen whether this one passes below the radar.
This is all so unnecessary as I am sure the correct information would be perfectly appropriate and in good order.
Can you imagine what we would be doing if our ‘club’ was being run in this manner? This story is being played out while all those who should be asking questions are being distracted by a player betting against his own club!
In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter if Ian Black hedges against himself, or what embarrassingly light punishment he receives. The real story is so much bigger, it is being written in large type, visible from the moon landings, but the football authorities appear happy to stand back and let events take their course.

Tried to sell the CQN site to a friend of mine so penned this. Thought I would share with you lot but I am preaching to the converted.

This is undoubtedly the very best Celtic Blog site out there. It’s main aim is to give Celtic fans an alternative to the mainstream media.
It’s strap line is “No lazy journalism”
It is a blog se up by Paul67 to give an alternative daily perspective for the fans to debate and discuss. The issues of Rangers administration and liquidation were well known to those of using the site about two years before it was dared to be mention in the “succulent lamb” servings of the Scottish Media
Dallasgate broke on CQN first and may otherwise have been swept under the carpet in the halls of the SFA.
It is also full of characters who contribute every day. Most do so from a font of knowledge of law, accountancy, business and management. Many more lurk and read and keep up to date.
It is a site for “grown ups”. Meet any three random CQNers and their combined aged will be plus 120 years. No foul language allowed and we treat each other with respect.
You can keep up to date with every match as the regulars watch throughout the world and type their updates. It is a worldwide bunch and each passing hours brings on contributions from USA, Canada, South America, Europe, the Middle East, South Africa to Australia and New Zealand. As the sun moves over our planet the CQN day is illuminated.
Two of it greatest attributes are intertwined with our club and our Celtic family. Charitable deeds and a huge charity of spirit.
The site and the good work of those on the site contributes to many charities. The charity of spirit is best seen on the news of illness, death, bad news, good news and birth.
It can infuriate and inspire. Make you laugh and make you cry.

With our opening game of Group H now less than one week away, the excitement is building ahead of this season’s UEFA Champions League campaign.
Neil Lennon and the Bhoys will travel to Milan next week safe in the knowledge that Celtic Park will be full to capacity for all three of our home matches, which will provide a timely boost as they prepare for a tough opening fixture against AC Milan in the San Siro.

I agree with most of that but have my suspicions. They need Celtic to keep the game afloat until they return OR there will be nothing for them to turn up too. Their mentality is that they own the game. In fact they own almost everything by controlling the SFA. They only will deal with us if it is of use to them. They are not interested in reality and have enough power and corruption to bring us down to their level. We should no longer be playing their parochial little game. They only know how to horsetrade. A full vote and a hun launch of the new SPFL for a seat on the board. The Old Firm Derby will never be buried. That means a strong Rangers. Celtic are turning a blind eye saying nothing ..moving politically away from the support with regards the new offensive legislation and the tory cabinet like appointment of a complaints commission.
You are just looking at the next four years and booing that will be the case. My lifetime of experience along with the last 5 years especially tells me differently. Its mass excuse the pun …mass denial.
Football in Scotland needs cleaned up for the benefit of the game and the spirit and soul of those that follow avidly our national sport. Not for the benefit of the industry as it is so corrupt and unworthy of the sport. It needs cleaned up. UEFA and the ECA are a mirror image but if we will only join in to protect our own wee patch and let them do what they must then we are not cleaning up the game from the useless incompetent parasites that presently own our game. If we are not prepared to then the game is Old Firm for ever and ever amen in Scotland.
So unless the protection racket is exposed and eradicated they will not die.

As an outsider now from Scotland, I am coming to the opinion that if the ruling Government in Scotland can’t or won’t deal with the social, corporate and sporting issues that have surfaced over these last two years, then, I’m afraid, Scotland is not ready for Independence.

An avid FF following zombie expressed the opinion to me in work today they were gubbed and would end up in administration. He was not talking about there being a club left but that people should be investigated by police and done.
