UNIQUE ANGLE: TAYLOR JOINS THE HIT PARADE

0

GREG TAYLOR joined the Celtic goal rush with his first Premiership strike since joining from Kilmarnock in September 2019.

The unfussy and often understated left-back made certain of the points 10 minutes after being introduced to the action in the 66th minute against Hearts at Tynecastle yesterday.

With the game deadlocked at 3-3, Taylor added to the attacking options to make his presence known at the back post when he swooped on a deflection from a Liel Abada drive.

The ball was diverted towards the back post and the Scotland international got in front of defender Michael Smith to nudge an effort wide of the clawing fingers of Craig Gordon.

That goal was the champions’ FOURTEENTH in three games following the 6-1 victory over Hibs at Parkhead last weekend and the 4-0 win in the Premier Sports League Cup over Motherwell at Fir Park in midweek.

James Forrest, of course, hit the headlines following his hat-trick against the Easter Road side to hoist his tally to 100. He added to that with the headed opener against Robbie Neilson’s outfit yesterday.

Giorgos Giakoumakis (3), Daizen Maeda (2), Liel Abada (2), Reo Hatate and Kyogo Furuhashi are the others in the hit parade over a trio of memorable triumphs.

The success over Hearts is certainly worth another look thanks to the lads at Celtic TV Unique Angle.

Enjoy!
