WAIT FOR IT: SCOTTISH CUP QUARTER-FINAL DRAW, WHERE AND WHEN

CELTIC are aiming to be in the Scottish Cup quarter-final draw which will take place after their tie against St Mirren in Paisley tomorrow.

The holders are due to kick off at 2pm in their fifth round meeting with Stephen Robinson’s side and the ballot for the last eight will be made live on BBC Scotland between 4.30pm and 5pm.

The Hoops claimed the silverware in June last year when strikes from Kyogo Furuhashi, Liel Abada and Filipe Jota downed gallant Inverness Caley Thistle 3-1 at Hampden.

TREBLE YELL…proud captain Callum McGregor with the Scottish Cup after Celtic completed a world record eighth domestic clean sweep.

A goal from Paulo Bernardo got the trek to the national stadium underway this time around when Brendan Rodgers’ side overcame non-league outfit Buckie Thistle 5-0 last month.

Odin Holm and Rocco Vata claimed their first strikes for the champions against the Highlanders. Kyogo Furuhashi and Luis Palma joined in the romp.

The competition has already thrown up a shock result at this stage with Motherwell crashing 2-1 to second-tier Morton at Cappielow last night.

There are five ties due to take place today – Caley Thistle v Hibs, Partick Thistle v Livingston, Kilmarnock v Cove Rangers and Aberdeen v Bonnyrigg Rose, all 3pm starts, and Philippe Clement’s side against Scott Brown’s Ayr United at Ibrox with a 5.30pm kick-off.

Celtic start at 2pm against St Mirren, of course, and the final tie sees Airdrie host Hearts at 5pm.

With no replays, all matches will be settled on the day with extra-time and penalty-kicks, if required.

The draw will also be available live on smartphone, tablet or laptop for free via the BBC iPlayer.

Quarter-final games are scheduled for the weekend of March 9/10.
