I’m sure Ronny Deila has used the international break to take in as many scouting games as possible, but he’ll be keen to see his players return to Lennoxtown, fit and available for selection.
Adam Matthews spoke to Celtic media on possibly returning for Saturday’s game against Ross County. Having not played since August he’ll be well short of match fitness but his presence is badly needed. We have a must-win Europa League game against Astra next week, with the shape of the team looking so haphazard at the moment it’s crucial we get a benefit of a recognised right back. Adam needs an hour on Saturday.
Now that central mid is looking solid with Brown and Johansen, the addition of Matthews and McGregor will benefit the right, while allowing Mubarak to fit into his more natural position on the left. We might begin looking like a team. Adam also has the engine to play the football Ronny is keen on.
The only question remains how to get our Europa League-eligible strikers looking the part – and that’s not a suggestion to drop John Guidetti on Saturday!

I have always rated Maloney highly. While it is true that he had plenty of injuries, he was given a right hard time on here, like so many others, such as Sammi.
Time to thinkabout replacing Hutton before he does any more damage
Struggling with a really poor feed of the game here, but from what I have seen, this looks like a very solid Scotland performance. WGS has them playing with a lot of composure and confidence

Just too injury prone (or not willing to play unless 100% if you believe WGS)

I would be all for playing the lad Henderson. I’m in no position to talk of McMullan, as I haven’t seen him. But we should be giving the lhads a game, as they couldn’t worse than some of the first team squad. I would be worried that some of those who want instant success might make them scapegoats.

Maloney not given the protection from the hammer throwers in the scottish game
After going to England, Shaun seemed to shake off his injury problems. He still had them but he was available for many more games. He also increased his fitness levels which no doubt played a big part. Not sure I would take him back now. Anya though would be well worth a punt.

Half time Germany Ireland scoreless. As expected Germany dominating and it looks just a matter of time before they score. At times Ireland have done OK but can’t really hold possession long enough. Still as long as it remains scoreless there is a chance we might sneak away with a point.
Maloney, like plenty of others at Celtic, often looked like he was carrying 3-4 kilos more than he should have been. McGeady another one who looks more streamlined these days.
Maloney is slightly fitter than Matthews who is slightly fitter than Lustig who is slightly fitter than Derk who is just pish
