We might begin looking like a team on Saturday

I’m sure Ronny Deila has used the international break to take in as many scouting games as possible, but he’ll be keen to see his players return to Lennoxtown, fit and available for selection.

Adam Matthews spoke to Celtic media on possibly returning for Saturday’s game against Ross County.  Having not played since August he’ll be well short of match fitness but his presence is badly needed.  We have a must-win Europa League game against Astra next week, with the shape of the team looking so haphazard at the moment it’s crucial we get a benefit of a recognised right back.  Adam needs an hour on Saturday.

Now that central mid is looking solid with Brown and Johansen, the addition of Matthews and McGregor will benefit the right, while allowing Mubarak to fit into his more natural position on the left.  We might begin looking like a team.  Adam also has the engine to play the football Ronny is keen on.

The only question remains how to get our Europa League-eligible strikers looking the part – and that’s not a suggestion to drop John Guidetti on Saturday!

  1. If we ignore him in future, surely he will go away.

    Same old drivel every day.

I will scroll by from now on.

For the avoidance of doubt I am talking about Kevj…

Strange that you laud the hostile………no surprise really he shows the same err………debating skills as you…………

  3. LiviBhoy,

I am sure that is the case. I was only commenting that the Scottish BBC news couldn’t help but put the most negative slant they could to the findings. They simply quoted the top price as about £600 at Celtic Park, as being the most expensive in Scotland in contrast to Peterhead, which is the cheapest at £90. They deliberately chose not to mention our cheapest price. Nothing unusual in that, of course.

You may be right but I have seen RD being interviewed and have to take him at his word.

Granted it was just hints and not definite commitment. But I think it would be beneficial for both parties and seems a logical decision with mutual rewards.

As for going to Bolton surely their debt would rule that out. If NFL thought he had financial restraints at Parkhead then Bolton is in a different planet.

    HH to you.

  5. Phil wriggling on Twitter having told the world that King was not having any talks with the Rangers board only 1-2 days ago. Now suggesting it was a surprise meeting despite the media waiting outside the gates to record it. I think his trusty inhouse sources are taking the p**h (to use his own terminology).

The only thing unique about you Kev is that you make dozens of posts day after day saying the bloody same thing.

Aye, and it still disny get through.

But, maybe it’ll be a visit from the medicine-man ie: the died, cheating, animal huns to come back and take on a Celtic led by an anti-Celtic establishment compliant ‘bored’ of directors who’ll serve Celtic up on a plate for the animals to devour then, they’ll disappear into the background with all your money and let you deal with the carnage, eh?

    Brilliant, just brilliant.

Whoever failed to get us two good strikers ahead of the CL bears major responsibility for our debacles.

Thought Poland’s Sebastian Mila was the difference between the sides last night.

Changed the game for Poland with less than half an hour on the pitch.

That’s what a good central midfielder looks like, for those interested in such frippery.

Thats not your answer though is it…. So you’ve turned down the job its too much for you.

Peter Lawell also has his own thoughts on being a CEO im sure DD does as well, I assume he sets his agenda and its agreed by both.

    Its working.

In any business there will always be people who buy in and those who dont. thats life. I disagree that what they do is turning all those people away, the club encourages so much for fans to come in and thats been proven over the past few years.

The setup currently cant be improved dramatically by change as you suggest.

Anyone else find it weird that we have a posse of the manic and hostile, producing either the same attacks daily, for weeks on end, months and even years. Sydneytim you must be due a gold watch ?

The same complaints, moans and whines. Never anything positive, always hostile, seldom found on CQN after a Celtic victory or further humiliation for the Deady Bears.

Weirder still some Celtic supporters align themselves to the jaundiced. Hence the reason why they return.

But look at the facts, the evidence: constantly attacks Celtic, gleeful when we suffer a defeat, absent when we triumph, manic approach to Tims, profanes and derides………….

    Remind you of anything ?

  12. Kev, If the Huns get investment and if they do get the upper hand, I will suffer like the rest of the Celtic family but I’ll still support the Celtic. There is absolutely nothing either you or I can do about it. The fact that you are constantly highlighting the problems and the dangers and others are more circumspect doesn’t make you any greater a Celt than any of the rest of us. I agree with a lot of what you say but equally you spoil it by going on with a fair amount of pish as well. A guy I trust implicitly knows Lawell and has sworn to me that Lawell is a genuine Celtic supporter and that he hates the Huns. He is indeed well paid but believe me if he left Celtic in the morning he would earn the same if not more with another Company. These CEO guys do rake it in, I don’t like it but that’s the world we live in.
