We might begin looking like a team on Saturday

852

I’m sure Ronny Deila has used the international break to take in as many scouting games as possible, but he’ll be keen to see his players return to Lennoxtown, fit and available for selection.

Adam Matthews spoke to Celtic media on possibly returning for Saturday’s game against Ross County.  Having not played since August he’ll be well short of match fitness but his presence is badly needed.  We have a must-win Europa League game against Astra next week, with the shape of the team looking so haphazard at the moment it’s crucial we get a benefit of a recognised right back.  Adam needs an hour on Saturday.

Now that central mid is looking solid with Brown and Johansen, the addition of Matthews and McGregor will benefit the right, while allowing Mubarak to fit into his more natural position on the left.  We might begin looking like a team.  Adam also has the engine to play the football Ronny is keen on.

The only question remains how to get our Europa League-eligible strikers looking the part – and that’s not a suggestion to drop John Guidetti on Saturday!

Always enjoy your posts but keep the chin up there will

always be disaffected supporters no matter what.

Think you originate from Govan did you ever play in the

Govan pubs league or shipyard tournaments? reason i ask

you are ages with myself and that was my scene.

    H/H Mick.

How you doing, nope, I’m afraid I only managed the St Anthonys Primary school team. I was a handy right winger if my memory serves me right. Probably because I was too small to play any other position. Ask Jamesgang. :-))) I probably will attend next week, as I have paid for my tickets, but the fare on show recently has been poor, shockingly poor. I hope you are well and I must hit the cot now as there is a lot of animal movement going on here inthe next couple of weeks, with the coos going back to their ain ferms and then the ewes arriving for lambing. Busy days ahead. And I’m fekking retired. :-))))

  3. Just saw the scenes at the Serbia v Albania game unbelievable !! I must say Im a tad suprised that EUFA didnt use the old SFA trick of heating one of the balls in the draw to 2000°C to avoid this tie occurring they did it for long enough to ensure teams from Turkey and Greece were kept apart.I know this has changed recently with teams from these countries meeting regularly now and also recent internationals between the former Yugoslavian states but you get the feeling that the heated bsll from the SFA should make a return after all football matches can stir such passion as to spark off wars as the Dinamo Zagreb v Red Star Belgrade match did in the early 90s or going further. Back in time Honduras V Gautemala.I know there were many many other factors in these conflicts but football played its part.

  4. Zvonimir Boban is regarded as a Croation hero after he defended Dinamo fans from the Police(not sure if it was Focus)

Read back to your Clash v Floyd poser.

The Clash are my favourite ever band. However, sometimes Pink Floyd suit my mood. Along with Robert Nesta Marley, that is a daily listen.

  6. Scotland are looking like a very difficult team to beat now.As i said last night Gordon Strachan seems to work wonders with limited resources.Anyway now the internationals are over its time for Celtic to start motoring up this table hopefully with Lustig & Matthews nearing returns and maybe even James Forrest to

Only the most knowledgable know the Nesta bit.

You’ve just got even higher in my estimation which I didn’t think possible!

  8. Hi there DD….The Clash always for me mate but i wholeheartedly agree with you that the genre of music you play matches your mood and for me the time of day.The Clash/Floyd debate is just one that my cousin and i argue the merits of i believe that Pink Floyd have inspired many different generations sometimes due to what substances are being taken whereas the Clash really meant so much to me for the music and also what they wre saying as im sure Floyd alsodo to others its a debate that often comes up in various pubs on days out and provokes a response from other clients ot the hostelry.

Now I ‘m no fan of ANYTHING ranjerz but after reading Phils latest I had to ask myself Who wrote the fiendish plot for this inextricable horrible saga. What good on earth did I do to deserve this entertainment. I have no idea but I’m not saying no to it. Its just too too perfect (for us)

fiendish plot ( a fenian ha ha)

I don’t think a movie would be very popular. I wonder if the truth will ever be known. Its a situation that I do not believe the authorities are capable of handling. Maybe the bad guys will get away with all the money. Ah well. I hope the people in charge are proud of themselves (the judiciary and all the rest from there down the community ladder)

The huns are going to come to the angry conclusion that the SFA destroyed their club. And d’you know something I do not blame them. Stay safe SFA stay safe.

The bad guys are already away with all the dosh and on

the contrary i think a movie would be hilarious but only for

the fair minded section of society if you no what i mean.

Reading Rod Stewarts latest book at the moment and that

guy really gets the Celtic, he’s talking about being abroad

and always looking for a watering hole to watch the game

up at 4 o’clock a.m. driving to wherever and a tim in the hoops

on a bike racing the other way obviously to a pub so turned

and followed him saying to himself…I must be mad.

He is over here in Oz in March and it’s being advertised on the

telly now and my heart always flips when i see that big Celtic

drum the band has, tickets are booked and can’t wait.

Thanks for that, and your right about the pics there’s a few up

on the wall in the Melbourne club, first one walking in with a dolly

bird on each arm next one being handed drinks from all the bhoy’s,

last one he’s crashed out head on the table so he’s human.

  19. Hearing good reports about hendrick who has played few games for ireland… Think he is with derby.

Lawell could do alot worse than sign darren gibson, hendrick and james mcclean to toughen our midfield up.

  20. Melbourne Mick on

    Hi proudbhoy

Looks like your on your own so i’ll talk to you, never seen

Gibson or Hendrick but James McLean would be a great

shout but it’s the same old story would we pay him enough.

Poland were excellent and that makes me very very happy because we led them at one point. The next game for Scotland v ROI is going to be explosive. Well, maybe not exactly explosive but maybe lots on the line. Woo Hoo.
