We might begin looking like a team on Saturday

852

I’m sure Ronny Deila has used the international break to take in as many scouting games as possible, but he’ll be keen to see his players return to Lennoxtown, fit and available for selection.

Adam Matthews spoke to Celtic media on possibly returning for Saturday’s game against Ross County.  Having not played since August he’ll be well short of match fitness but his presence is badly needed.  We have a must-win Europa League game against Astra next week, with the shape of the team looking so haphazard at the moment it’s crucial we get a benefit of a recognised right back.  Adam needs an hour on Saturday.

Now that central mid is looking solid with Brown and Johansen, the addition of Matthews and McGregor will benefit the right, while allowing Mubarak to fit into his more natural position on the left.  We might begin looking like a team.  Adam also has the engine to play the football Ronny is keen on.

The only question remains how to get our Europa League-eligible strikers looking the part – and that’s not a suggestion to drop John Guidetti on Saturday!

Gibson was excellant when he first signed for everton but has been injuryed all season, would be difficult to get him from premiership… I dont think hes anything amazing but good solid player who can pass and shout.

Mcclean would walk on glass to play for us… He’s abit outspoken, refuses to wear poppy and sports the easter lily at easter. From creggan in derry which is staunch republican area.. Think all that is too much for lawell to consider.

But all 3 would make us alot better team i think.

yes. but he would then spend 3 months in the Forrest Suite recovering from serious foot injuries!!

  3. A few wee facts yous can drop into any canteen conversations.

After a decade of legal process, including an agreed, but vetoed, settlement,[9] King eventually reached an agreement with the South African High Court whereby he pled guilty to 41 criminal counts of contravening the South Africa Income Tax Act and agreed to pay a fine of 80,000 Rand per criminal conviction or 3.28 million Rand in total. As part of the deal to drop the other 281 criminal charges he faced, King also agreed that he would pay the Criminal Assets Recovery Account of the South African Authorities 8.75 million Rand in compensation. King was originally indicted on 322 counts including fraud, tax evasion and evasion of exchange control regulations, as well as money-laundering and racketeering.

  4. Morning all. Fairly overcast down here today.

I feel a wee bitty downcast for Scotland. Big, big game now looming against the Republic. Shame really. It would be good if we both went through.

  6. My friends in Celtic,

WGS getting plaudits on here and rightly so.

I have always liked and rated him and his standing has increased in my eyes with his comments on anything Celtic, since he left Parkhead.

However three league titles and 2-off b2b euro champions league qualification did not guarantee universal endorsement by some and its nice to see some belated praise and acknowledgment.

Ronny Delia ( Hope I’ve spelt it right ) if he reads any Celtic forums may not be too disturbed, as a quick glance into the archives will demonstrate that this is how we treat our managers.

With reservation I say cummon Ronny the season starts now.

Interesting article on the living wage debate.

Only 40 have voted so far. Of those 85% in agreement.

Previous club statement about most of those affected would be part time matchday workers using it as supplemental income holds less weight every time I read it.

    a) if it’s for so few then bite the air gun pellet and give them the extra quid an hour.

    b) don’t be so offensive in your behaviour (like that?) and patronising as to assume that supplemental income isn’t absolutely vital to many people today.

Who told him to play Roy Keane?

    Who foisted Graveason on him?

Who told him to drop Barry Robson from our 2-4

defeat to the huns at home?

Who told him to drop Aiden after, Aiden was hooked

    on the chin by Boruc?

If you like medium-to-full-bodied red wines, Rioja Reservas and Barolos are for you.

In case you don’t already know, Riojas are made from varying blends of some or all of the following grapes: Tempranillo, Garnacha, and occasionally the blending grapes Mazuelo and Graciano. Taken together, these influence each wine’s flavour and aging properties.

Reservas are aged for 3 years, at least 1 of which in oak (so they have a distinctively oaky taste).

Barolos are a favourite of mine. Made solely from the Nebbiolo grape in the Piedmont region of Italy, not for nothing will you find it described as ‘the wine of kings and the king of wines’.

I can’t say I recognise either of the labels, but they the prices are fairly typical …

Kev, you been oan the bev….?

  14. Who really died – Celtic or, the huns?

Celtic Park is half empty / full for domestic games

the huns had more at their home game v’s Hibs

than Celtic had for a home EL game v’s Dinamo.

Yet, the brainwashers on here and elsewhere predict

eternal doom for the huns but, the thing is…if the huns are

in the same league as us next season, could we handle them?

    Serious question btw.

  15. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Despite Gordon having success at other clubs, he talks of his time with great joy and pleasure.

Not a a Celtic fan as a youngster but, Charlie Nicholas, Andy Walker and their ilk take note, Gordon along with Tom Boyd never bad mouth us.

Clash all the time over Pink Floyd.

My biggest musical regret, not going to see Bob Marley at the Apollo in 1980 as the ticket was a fiver. As the song goes, regrets I have a few.

  16. Love the idiot Keiths headline about”Dave King SWEEPS into Ibrox”.You can just imagine him all gleeful and excited.

    “Sweeps”,indeed.
