So why go to court when you know you have signed up to a rule (literally) that forbids you from going to court and that will almost certainly lead to your expulsion from football?
Because almost certainly being expelled from football is a better option than the alternative.

Jim Spence, the best of them, just said he had spoken to an unnamed senior person at an unnamed SPL club who has told him he has spoken to people at other clubs and they are “incandescent” that Rangers have taken legal action because “the SFA may now have to throw the book at Rangers”.
Which means what, that until now the SFA did not have to or did not intend to throw the book at Rangers anyway?
Then a statement from Motherwell that appears to me to mean the opposite of what Chic interprets, that the Motherwell want Rangers in the SPL. Motherwell said they could not separate sporting integrity from the future of their club, which must mean the opposite.
Bjmac-go see citizens advice about putting in a time to pay application. I’m presuming your bank arrestment follows on from a summary warrant in relation to council tax? If so it is possible finance haven’t spoken to sheriff officers about your arrangement? A Ttp gets the diligence thing in court and the council will probably lift the arrestment. See citizens advice though, best thing you can do.

I have been treated very badly with extremely bad communication from the council and between them and their chosen “heavies”, in this instance Scott&co.

These Radio Scotland BBC muppets show why it was so important for the Mark Daly documentary to go out. But for that, the mainstream audience would be relying on this pathetic attempt to explain what’s going on.

Despite knowing that most of these ‘journalists’ are nothing more than entertainers, writing what their readers want to read, saying what their listeners want to hear, depsite that I would have expected that they’d have at least a shred of professional pride and integrity.
I think what has surprised me most about them is hearing them boast about not reading information readily available online. Keevins even boasted that he hadn’t read the SPL report and that was several days after it was released online.
Yet these people draw salaries for supposedly offering an ‘expert’ opinion. It’s a disgrace and a sad reflection on scottish society that this is what broadcasters/publishers believe their audience wants.
What are the huns doing for next year’s season tickets?
