Every year we ask you to put your hand in your pocket for various causes and every year you react, but never more so than 2012. You responded magnificently to the Wee Oscar Appeal, which from Celtic fans in total raised £31k in a bucket collection in September and £27k at a race night last month.
It is breath-taking to see the work done by those who, without thought for their personal sacrifices, decided this young boy would get the best chance possible. The photographs of Oscar are an inspiration, but the work done by those who staged the race night and bucket collection – and brought a new CQN badge to life – is even more inspiring.
The events surrounding the charity golf day raised four-figure sums for Oscar, the Neuroblastoma Alliance, the Martin Chambers Ecuador Trust and The Haven in Blantyre, which supports people with life limiting illness. There were smaller donations too, each one a credit to the organisers and to those of you who contributed.
The overwhelming majority of this work, and pretty much all donations, are made by people who don’t want any thanks and would be horrified by publicity. In most instances the beneficiaries will never know their names. I’m in the really fortunate position that I get to see a lot of this happen and I can assure you it is awe inspiring. You are in the company of many great Celts.
This club is not Neil Lennon’s or Dermot Desmond’s, it’s yours. Celtic will win and lose many games but that will change nothing that is really important. You are the person who will make it a unique force for good in the world. That is our challenge for 2013.
Thank you for all your help, take care and have an absolutely fantastic Christmas.

Palacio67, Off the top of my head, I don’t know. Though I am from Cork and follow all Cork Teams etc., I haven’t lived there for past 46 years. The Travel Lodge is outside Cork City, not too far from the Airport just before you come to a Ring Road that if you go East you would be heading in direction of Dublin, West would be sending you in direction of West Cork/Kerry. If you go straight through the first intersection you would be going into the City. I would imagine any late night pubs would be in City Centre. There is another Pub as you come in from the Airport, most Pubs in Ireland would let you there until at least 12.30 anyway. If you are staying there for a couple of days try and seek out, The Friars Walk Tavern, very good Celtic Pub and as you approach the City from the Airport side you won’t be too far away from it. If you find the Church in Ballyphehane and ask anyone from there, they will tell you. You can Google it also. Enjoy your trip.
One page on CQN lasts 5hrs…. The zombies will be raving that our blogs are suffering badly

As Celtic fans we are not triumphalistic by nature, but we know that if our rivals hadn’t have killed themselves tryin to hold on to our coat tails we’d be bigger than Barca.

Happy Xmas everyone!
Btw, apparently Queens Park v Sevco is more important than Hibs v Celtic, as the former game is live on Sky Sports on Saturday, whereas our game at Easter road isn’t even being televised.
Just spent a lovely day with the wife, 2 sons and their girlfriends enjoying all that is good about Christmas. I hope you all had a special day and special thoughts to those on their own . Hopefully 2013 brings you all what you wish for. God Bless and COYBIG.

Aw Naw tell Eliot welcome to the celtic family
email from Green Brigade sorry if already posted but never seen it.
The group is still and always on the look out for venues around the Glasgow area that we could paint and prepare tifos with in.
The area has to have a good sized floor space. At least 10 metres squared. Also at least 1 flush internal wall large enough for us to project images onto for marking out on banners.
Ideally the venue will having running water and an area to clean paint brushes etc.
An empty factory or unit would be ideal.
If you can help please contact us at Greenbrigade@hotmail.co.uk

Right. Since things are so quiet, let’s get onto my fixation with the CONSTANT mis-spelling of simple words.
QUIET YOU. !!
We have just about got rid of the use of HENCE THE REASON.
Well done.
Now we have to cleanse the site of HOARDS & even HOARDES.
The collective noun for our stricken neighbours is HORDES.
Have we all got that ?
The past tense of the verb TO LEAD is LED.
LEAD with a soft E sound in the middle is a metal.
And while we are at it, could we try to remember that if we are beaten in a game, we LOSE.
I don’t want to see, ‘ Celtic should never LOOSE at Celtic Park’ ever again.
LOOSE can only mean SLACK or NOT TIGHT.
Heads will roll ( NO, not ROLE ) if I ever again see any of these words wrongly spelled.
Merry Christmas,
:¬)))

Back home from a fantastic day with the family ….there’s always a ‘story’ ……..grandson and his younger friend stuck their fingers in the jelly pie (when noone was looking) …… They were, of course ‘brought to account’ …..while one was saying it was the other, 7 year old grandaughter walks into the lounge with a big photo of the jelly pie (she had taken with her new ipad)…with 2 (finger) indentations …..well, what could they say….handcuffs came out …..everyone was killing themselves laughing, and my grandaughter didn’t know why…..!!!! Absolutely hilarious ….!!!!!!!!
