    Things aren’t great right now. I wont bother giving my thoughts.

     

    However last year, I started to get a buzz going to the games. Many of friends said similar.

     

    Roundabout the time of the Inter Milan games.

     

    Maybe that feeling didn’t transmit via the telly.

     

    But going to the games was something to look forward to again.

     

     

    The drivel I cant be arsed with are the blogs, the forums, the arm-chair managers, the ex-players

     

    taking the soup, the f$nnies who come on here and say they’re not going back because of the cheating NOW, the f$nnies who think they can boo during the game because they paid their money, the f$nnies who are doing what THEY would love us to do.

     

     

    Lawwell should come in for criticism – no doubt. Ronnie also.

     

    BUT I’d love to know what next ? what actual strategy ? How long does the next guys actually get ? Potential Whos ?

     

     

    Today was pure pish. Tonght isn’t much better.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    When exactly was the golden era ? Bring back the Kellys and the Whites ?

     

     

    What exactly is the change that is required ? No vague bollox. Pragmatic, realistic answers, anyone ?

    If you recall we had the same personnel problems soon after RD’s arrival. Deila admitted as much in December. Looks like the situation was still festering.

     

     

    As supporters we expect everything to be perfect. But I suspect the football club is like any other place of work for the players: full of petty jealousies, grievances and favouritism etc.

     

     

    NFL and MON had these issues in their tenures, the lid didn’t come off, it seems to be just now.

    I don’t know if it is real, or just Scottish media scare-mongering….. but the thought of a lost dressing room, will become real, if all the haters give it energy.

     

     

    Ronny might not be a Scottish or Irish Celtic man, but….BUT he is our manager, and deserves respect.

     

    I get the feel, he isn’t getting the respect he deserves.

    Well let’s get one thing straight right away. Because I happen to live 10000 miles away doesn’t mean I haven’t put in a shift of financially supporting Celtic as a season ticketed home and away supporter, which I have for around 40 years or so and traveled on buses and trains from Ireland, from England, from Glasgow to watch matches.

     

     

     

    So that gives me enough credence I think to say, albeit as an expat, (who has supported the club through buying merchandising and going to Tour games) that we need change at the club.

     

     

    What is the solution.

     

     

    We need a sea change. A complete change in our thinking.

     

     

    Sensible and calculated risk is a part of business.

    Looking at the shape the team and particularly the demeanour of the players today I got the feeling that they looked as if they weren’t sure whether to stick or twist. I got the same impression watching us against Malmo. I’m beginning to believe that something just isn’t right. I don’t know what though yet :(

    Feeling less annoyed than I did immediately post match but I’m still agitated.

     

     

    Celtic fans are not being conceited by thinking we should win every game we are being pragmatic. Of course shocks occur. We gubbed Barcalona just as Celtic will on occasion concede games against other lesser teams in SPFL. However when you pay players 5-10 times more than your opponents you can reasonable expect to win every game.

     

     

    Today may be a blip but many fans see it as a developing trend. We are watching our team squander advantage.. I think Aberdeen have improved marginally but we are markedly poorer. Hence the gaps is closing.

     

    What is doubly annoying is that any fan could identify not only the flaws in the team last season but the likely flaws given we were about to lose our central defensive team this season.

     

    Yet our Board didn’t act in time.

     

    But it goes deeper – Ronnie is to the management position as Ciftci is to the striking role. Neither were first choice but we’re in fact cheap gettable options. Yet we are being asked to believe both were our top targets. I don’t know what makes me feel worse… Being patronised or having to accept they ARE first choice. Either way it is worrying…..

     

     

    Thank goodness for Griffiths and Biton … Without them there would be no hope…
