ALLAN RETURNS, NESBITT STAYS AT MORTON, BOYATA FOR ANDERLECHT

SCOTT ALLAN is on his way back to Celtic – just halfway through his season-long loan deal with Rotherham.
The midfielder, signed on a temporary transfer by his former Hibs boss Alan Stubbs in the summer, will be shown the door by his successor Paul Warne.
Allan, 25, has made just nine appearances for the Championship side, the last coming as a substitute against Norwich in October just days before Stubbs was sacked.
Warne reckons Allan and fellow loan midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey are surplus to requirements.

He said: “They aren’t getting in the squad and I would expect something to happen.“As is stands at the moment, they’re just not in my plans. If I bring in new signings, they’re going to be even less in my plans.”

Allan has endured a miserable time since signing for the Hoops from the Easter Road outfit 18 months ago. He made just eight starts for the champions under Ronny Deila and it is likely Brendan Rodgers will move him on again during the current transfer window.

Meanwhile, Celtic have confirmed that Aidan Nesbitt has extended his loan spell with Morton until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old attacker has made 17 appearances with the Championship team in the first half of the campaign, helping them reach third spot. He scored his first goal for Jim Duffy’s side last month against Dunfermline.Nesbitt, who is rated highly by the Hoops, made his Celtic first team debut against Raith Rovers in a League Cup win at home in September 2015 and will be aiming for more game time at Cappielow before returning in the summer.

Anderlecht  are rumoured to be lining up a bid for Celtic’s Belgian international central defender Dedryck Boyata.

Boyata still has two-and-a-half years of his contract at Celtic to go and Anderlecht may initially look at a loan deal for the player who has made just the one start for Celtic, on Kilmarnock’s plastic pitch on November 18.
Rodgers is keen to reduce his squad size and is unlikely to stand in the former Manchester City defender’s way as he seeks to get his career back on track.
