I enjoy Cqn hopefully I don’t get involved in any nonsense and try not to get dragged into politics or anything else, for me Cqn is about Celtic then a post like yours or the obvious great work done by P67 and many others puts the football into perspective, thanks again and obviously Tony’s blog is a help to you and yours which is even better…..

Sevco are garbage,Hibs are even worse.

Hertz are a decent enough team as are the Sheep.

Dunfermline after a flying start to their campaign in the third tier, were humbled yesterday by Peterhead.

    Celtic are boss.

Scotland’s greatest club – always have been, and always will be.

I’ve seen plenty SPFL games in the last 12 months.

Aberdeen, Hearts and Rangers play decent football.

    ————————————————-

I’ve seen plenty SPFL games in last 12 months

Haven’t watched yon deid team ,but they have played fek all decent

football according to the zombie hordes now watching the warbmeister

    revolution.

  6. Guernica, it’s relative. It would have taken some kind of evil genius to make them worse than last season.

As far as I can see he’s simply got them reasonably well organised and fitter.

Their defence looks shaky, they are flat in midfield, and nothing special upfront. But they will have enough to beat the diddies in that league (remember, they nearly did it last year despite Ally’s best efforts).

In the longer term, they remain (as Phil points out regularly) a loss-making club with no credit facility at a bank. There is no pot of gold for serious investment and its likely they will have the begging bowl out again at Christmas. Any decent players they do have appear to be loanees, and they will struggle to resist a decent fee for any gem they manage to unearth.

Watching Sky today you’d think we were talking about Bayern Munich. They remain -at best – a bottom-half SPL team with some very very serious medium term funding issues.

Let them come up and us and the Dons will tank them on a regular basis.

  7. RWE on 23RD AUGUST 2015 8:19 PM

Just like to thank all of those who were so kind to our family during that time earlier this year.

Never thanked you all individually but it all helped us get through. Consider yourselves thanked. :o)

Very well done by the buoys yesterday- caught up with the action on Celtic TV

Like the idea of bringing ex- celts in to help with commentary and Tom Boyd offering some helpful insights.

I wasn’t his biggest fan during his playing days, but admire his honesty and fairly sure he has passed up on MSM lucre because he tells it like it is.

    A proper Celt

Our manager is showing encouraging signs of being a proper Celt.

To say the knives were out and remain handy, if out of sight, is an understatement as any visit to this blog will prove. Who needs the MSM to create internal disruption when we can do it perfectly well for ourselves.

Ronny decided to make 9 changes yesterday and still got the result we wanted. A good few youngsters blooded and a new recruit making his debut.

The man has major cohones and his players responded – guys on the fringes pulled together to get the points. Yes, United are not going to be our toughest opponents this season but Ronny was prepared to level the playing field to a hive a wider objective.

That demonstrates courage but some might say foolhardiness. Fair enough.

However, I saw two things yesterday that give me hope that his decisions were founded on solid analysis and understanding of the situation.

    4 things from yesterday:

1.ronny fully understands the importance of Tuesday in Malmo. Not taking any chances ( cannot figure why he risked Griff tho’)

2.His squad trust him and believe in him and his methods. so much so that fringe players who may be forgiven for maybe feeling left out of unwanted and likely to be disruptive influences, actually pulled together to get the result needed. The sense of team spirit seemed tangible at times.

3.The support attending games especially the travelling supports, believe in him and what’s he is trying to do. It’s there and visible. Also loved the way they welcome Our new Bhoy. First class and it showed on his face. The Bhoy will remember that for a long time and his performance was encouraging with some decent thro’ balls.

    4. Ronny has confidence in development squad and wi promote as and when required. When did we last see two of our youngsters slotted into the two key central mid holding roles to see out a game? One of them put the game out of tea has a wee bonus.

There is work yet to be done but yesterday was progress.

Some of our players make mistakes. Most folk accept that. Can anyone imagine what it would have been like on here if Celts lost the 3 goals we scored V Malmo? God only knows …

For what it’s worth I’m not a great fan of either Efe or Izzy – I like them as men and human beings but not as defenders. Nevertheless They work hard never hide!!! and they are honest players. When they are I. The boos playing for my team I will give them nothing but my support.

In any case, recent goals lost happened because we failed in any number of key positions.

Cannot wait until Tuesday – big, big, big game!!

  9. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Gerry, I hope your bet comes up.

If he wins, his winnings should allow him to get a private jet, possibly the one Dodgy Dave had exclusive use of while spending the bank’s money, to get to Malmo by tomorrow night.

Now, I didn’t suggest that anyone should ask me before they post so stop being silly.

You want to talk about the Huns?

The Sheep and Hertz appear half decent compared to the rest, but the acid test is when they play the best – your CHAMPIONS, the big club with the big stadium and the big cup.

    Remarkable

Any techy guys out there who can give me some advice? When I open any window in google chrome, the right hand side disappears off the page. Was o.k. until recently. I have windows 7 on my laptop. Have tried uninstalling google chrome and installing it again but it’s still the same. Thanks in advance.

  13. Who the f**k is this rangers that Guernica speaks about?

Could that be a team that cheated for years and still laud the forgotten man…Murray!

The man that walked away without guilt for killing his team and shafting everyone that put a pound in.

The man that broke the hearts of the the Rangers men.

Ssms hunt this charleton down and make him answerable to his flock.

Ok then…we’ll just blame craigy and so on and on…..

Knock yourself out, post what you like.

But perhaps respect that not every post will be of interest to you, and if it isn’t, it’s probably good manners for you not to say that out loud.

  15. Saltires –

re your point #1, I too wondered until I heard somewhere that, in a nutshell, The Griff never gets injured! he has good form and bad but, in the main, injury free.

  16. saltires.

    very good post.

    as an aside –

I have a few really good pals who grit their teeth while praising our captain, I don’t understand any Celtic fan (and they are Celtic fans) who can’t see how good a player our Scott is, he is a bit daft at times but is a brilliant example to the younger players, I love the fact he is taking the youths and doing the extra bit, but will not read much of that in the papers or hear about it on the radio, apart from one season when he had terrible family stuff to handle our captain has been magnificent in a hooped Jersey and long may it continue, as for the golf when I put a bet on I expect to lose so anything else is a bonus

That is correct, Ronny was asked would he have liked Leigh to be rested like the others and Ronny replied he had the chance to not play but he wanted to play…….never bench a striker on form

Ronny also said he liked the fact Leigh wanted to play

When you press the control key (Cntrl) and the minus (-) key (at the same time) it should reduce the screen size.

Though I reckon that won’t fix your issue, doesn’t sound like a zoom problem.
