Since you mention Fernando Ricksen’s declining health…can I take this opportunity to let the blog know about a new site from Mrs RWE and I – called Tony’s Huddle.

Sevco were lead by a dumpling last season. Watching them play was like watching a coo trying to make an omelette.

Anything this season was going to reek of exponential improvement.

Apart from a very well taken free kick ( A very, very well taken free kick) against a shite goalkeeper whose positioning is rotten, Sevco looked pedestrian and lacking in ideas.

Including all of the free agent galacticos signed by Captain Mainwearing (he also worked in a bank and was tasked to manage a group of raggle taggle numpties).

I think you summed it up perfectly. VVD is probably for the off regardless. If it’s CL for us we will probably sign the Croatian we are linked with (although it could equally be someone not yet mentioned). If it’s EL we could sign a loan, a journeyman, or go with what we have.

Agree with you there, but compare and contrast the relative positions of Everton and Celtic. Everton, while acknowledging they have received bids for Stones have made it clear, or at least Martinez has, that they are not prepared to sell him, while Celtic, who have not admitting to direct interest in Virgil, have slowly surely, and madly, let it be known that the price is around £10 million, regardless of the new reality down South, which is the new EPL contract next year. No problem in selling a player who wants to move on, but lets not give him away for less than we got for Victor and Fraser. That, would stick in the ol’ proverbial craw!

    Sevco could challenge us?

    When exactly?

    Before they go tits up?

Or shortly thereafter when TGASL finally opens his warchest?

Stoap it, yer havin’ a laugh!

What pleased me most about yesterday was that we had a bunch of understudies who played pretty much the same way our first 11 would have played. A tribute to the systems of the coaching staff.

I’m sure you’ll prove me wrong, but Celtic have not once said VVD is allowed to leave for £10mill.

Last season we even said that he couldn’t leave despite the player and his agent saying that he was going.

You quoted me 8.44pm, I didn’t realise you meant last night, I struggle to remember my last post never mind nearly 24hrs ago, Tuesday will be nervy, as Celtic fans nobody does nervy better, last Wednesday 2-0 after 10mins I started dreaming that we were in next weeks draw, Celtic and Celtic fans don’t do easy wouldn’t be so good if they didn’t put us through the mill, Tuesday (hopefully) will be a Qarabag performance, Malmo 0 will do me

  12. If servo get 3 players of jd standard another 2 on bosman of similar standard and find 3 million to buy another 2 players then they will give is a challenge, ok then sounds easy wonder why we did not just do that and assure champions league participation hahaha!!!

so they will be able to finance all these player,

firstly you know there would be loan fee and wages to pay, and that wont be cheap for a jd standard player

not many frees out there at or around jd level would consider ibrox, again wages a major stumbling block

oh and as Celtic fans we all know how easy it is to spend between 1 and 3 million and hit the jackpot every time hahaha!!!

guess they will magic their way out of all the contracts that tie their finances up, as well as, the loans and do ibrox up at the same time

taxi please i am so scare of this new club

    hahaha

  13. Fourth best in Scotland ha ha ha ha ffs

Some people have been watching too much shite sevco and no enough other shite SPL teams

But then it’s to be expected when shite sevco are the only poor fare dished out by the telly.

Just one question Guernica, how many times have you watched a full Hamilton or Ross County game this season ?

Seriously, you’ve made a statement and I’d like to know how much research you base your opinion on ?

  14. Captain Beefheart on

Rangers obsession on the blog. Who cares?

We have our own club to worry about.

  15. Endless posts about the Huns.

    Boring as hell lads.

I can understand people posting about the oldco cheating and how it affected us but why any Tim would want to watch and then post about them is something I just can’t fathom.

  16. Heard the Huns were incredible today ….from an imbecile in a Digbeth. Taxi Rank…….

They are so embarrassing when they venture out from East Ayrshire,West Lothian, and certain parts of Glasgow……

My choice was not to speak as I’d have been associated with the the Bassas

RWE….well done for keeping it lit for Tony. He would be so proud of you all, as you all were of him.

  18. The Huddle

No I will not be able to prove you wrong re the £10 million figure, but I have been on here long enough, as have you, to be be able to read the runes. Might be a Celtic thing! With a K that is!

  19. Joe Filippis Haircut on

With the transfer market coming towards the close until January this could be a busy week for Celtic I think we will see more than VVD leaving. We may also see at least two new signings coming in also we have a huge European game so there may well be some late nights at Celtic park this week. H.H.

  20. Why can’t the Huns see that decent civilised people, from their country, are embarrassed whenever they open their mouths anywhere South of Carlisle?

    They are uneducated and parochial.

    Is it a Scottish phenomenon?

  21. Tofiq B

I didn’t address you directly last night though I’ll readily admit I wasn’t impressed by your contributions.

    Kojo- like. Moi?

Really not sure what you base that on.

I’ll not be biting so don’t waste your time trying.

  22. Just like to thank all of those who were so kind to our family during that time earlier this year.

Never thanked you all individually but it all helped us get through. Consider yourselves thanked. :o)

Mrs RWE would get a nightly bulletin on messages etc and some of your nom de blogs had her

    d) emotional

  23. Getting close to the dreaded 1690 post, reckon a few on here will chase it like the podium hunters.

Btw, did I tell ye I got the podium on the day the huns died…ye know now:)

  24. Guernica,

Hmm.. Sevco have improved I grant you. But I tuned in today expecting to see a fast-flowing attacking team. Instead they looked stodgy and predictable. Hibs are rank but if their main striker had put his bots on the right feet, they would have won at a canter.

I think Sevco will win that league- there is no real quality to challenge them. But a decent premiership side would go through them like a dose of salts. The team we put out yesterday would hammer them.

They are miles behind us, and will prob have to rebuild in the summer (if they make it that far).

Any techy guys out there who can give me some advice? When I open any window in google chrome, the right hand side disappears off the page. Was o.k. until recently. I have windows 7 on my laptop. Have tried uninstalling google chrome and installing it again but it’s still the same. Thanks in advance.

  26. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Scott Brown playing the final round of the Wyndham Championship golf tournament alongside Tiger Woods.

    Broonie does indeed get everwhere.

  27. I’ve seen plenty SPFL games in the last 12 months.

Aberdeen, Hearts and Rangers play decent football.

Warburton persuaded Arsenal to loan them one of their best young prospects. To the Scottish Championship.

Warburton won promotion from league one. He followed that up by exceeding all expectations in the championship. He has now vastly improved Sevco.

He has bought and loaned well.

We are a good side but we are a side with an increasing reliance on the best of the SPFL.

Do I fear Sevco? No. But we are about to lose the one player who is genuine quality so it will be an interesting week for us.
