£1.2m MISFIT ON MOVE

CELTIC’S £1.2million misfit Jack Hendry is heading out of Parkhead this month with Blackpool and Lincoln keen to arrange a loan deal for the defender.

The 24-year-old Scotland international, who was bought by ex-boss Brendan Rodgers from Dundee two years ago, is keen to get back playing.

Hendry has made just one competitive appearance for the Hoops this season and that was for only 11 minutes when Neil Lennon put him on to replace impressive debutant Jeremie Frimpong during the 5-0 Betfred League Cup quarter-final win over Partick Thistle in September.

The versatile back-four operator, who can play right-back and centre-half, has become the forgotten man at the champions and the English League One sides are eager to land him on a contract until the end of the season.

Kilmarnock and Motherwell were both interested in the summer transfer window, but were unable to get a deal over the line.

Hendry agreed a four-and-a-half year deal when he arrived from Dens Park in January 2018.
