10-IN-A-ROW FOR CELTIC

CELTIC celebrated their tenth successive victory over Ross County in Dingwall yesterday.

David Turnbull, with his third goal of the season against the Highlanders, got the ball rolling in the latest win when he scorched in a low right-foot drive on the cusp of half-time.

Luis Palma doubled the advantage with a breathtaking long-range effort that dipped and swerved before hammering high into the back of the net behind the flummoxed Ross Laidlaw.

RISE AND SMILE…Anthony Ralston joins in the celebrations with Daizen Maeda and David Turnbull after the midfielder’s opening goal in Dingwall.

And then evergreen winger James Forrest took centre stage when he continued an impressive sequence of his own. The 32-year-old one-club man launched himself at a left-wing dinked cross from the Honduran to blitz in a header at the back post to claim the third and final strike in 3-0 triumph for the champions.

It was also the veteran forward’s fifteenth consecutive season of scoring goals for the Hoops.

The unassuming Scotland international claimed his first counter when he came on as a substitute for his debut against Motherwell at Parkhead on May 1 2010 and netted the fourth strike in a 4-0 win.

Forrest’s rare headed effort against the Highlanders was also his 102nd goal for Celtic.

The wily flanker’s latest strike – and those from team-mates Turnbull and Palma – are well worth a second look courtesy of those good folk at Celtic TV Unique Angle.
