Really looking forward to tomorrow. Aberdeen are no flash-in-the-pan, they are as strong a non-Glasgow team as there has been in 25 years, having built on foundations laid last season. They arrive at Celtic Park having won there last season, and after two narrow defeats to Celtic this season, which has cost them a place at the top of the league.
Ronny Deila will have an enormous job to pick his players up after the disappointment of Thursday night, but that’s what champions do.
I know we’ve got a few foodies here, so check out The Foodies Guide to Glasgow and the West, by Fraser Wilson. Proceeds from the book go to Mary’s Meals, which goes a long way towards alleviating poverty.
If you are from or near Dundee…….
There’s a charity dinner to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Brother Walfrid, in the East Chamber, Dundee, on Friday 17 April. Proceeds from the night will go towards helping three-year-old Oliver Bosch, who was born without auditory nerves.
The evening will have an Irish theme, with an Irish menu, music and song and the Lochee School of Irish Dancing will give a display of traditional Irish dancing. For tickets contact joe.carroll1948@yahoo.co.uk

Good win for port vale today, the opposition included one paddy mccourt on loan from brighton to notts county – feels like a talent wasted.

Aye, we need to hold on to Johansen and Biton. Broonie will probably finish his career at Celtic. Ronnie will get rid of the loanees and will bring in his own men. I expect to see VVD sold in the summer and Denayer go back to City, this means bringing in a new central defensive team. Possibly another couple of Scandanavians coming in.
I fully expect Celtic to hit the European qualifiers running next season, fitter and leaner. Revolutions don’t happen overnight……… Interesting times ahead under Ronny. He will still make mistakes but the person who never made a mistake learned the square root of feck all.

I really like Joe Hanson he is gallus and never tries to hide in a game even when things are not going his way. He might be wee but he is prepared to dish it out as well as take it a great signing in my book. H.H.

Mark Reid is vastly under-appreciated by our vintage,IMO.
We had problems in the left-back position for years prior to him. And we had problems after that, with only Tosh and Mahe passing muster.
Why he gets the stick he does,I dunno.

WHERE’S ME CAMEL?
Michael or Mick Hammill is the punch-line of a joke that is re-told by journalist, author and Cowdenbeath historian/fan Ron Ferguson in his book “Hellicopter Dreams”. It tells the story of Tewfik Abdullah one of a quartet of Egyptians who played in Britain after World War I.
The story goes that in 1921, when Abdullah made his debut for Derby County against Manchester City, he ran on to the heavily sanded pitch shouting “Where’s me camel?”
His actual words were directed towards the player he was allocated to mark, and were in fact “Where’s Mick Hamill?”, the Ex-Celt, now playing with City.
By a coincidence the two players would end up playing for Fall River Marksmen though not at the same time. Abdullah was with the Marksmen in 1928 and Hamill in 1924.

Agreed, mate. Johansen may not be the biggest most dangerous looking fella. But he strikes me as one to have in your corner when the trouble starts.
Watching your back is crucial.
BOBBY MURDOCH. We could still do with finding a quality left back and Rony has the scouts looking at that area. H.H.
