Yes the man is an egotistical lunatic with an unhealthy obsession with the EPL.

    So what?

He’s away now, and we move on.

The success was well worth it though.

  4. “We beat Kilmarnock 1-0 at home and it wasn’t good enough. We have seen people say how it’s not been the same, how we’ve not been achieving what we’ve achieved before, but we still go on. We’re unbeaten (in 2019), we keep winning.” Scott Bain.

Let me repeat: We have seen people say how it’s not been the same,

    Who are these people?

How do you think our support at Celtic Park would responde were the boot on the other foot?

  6. The painful losses of recent weeks give us all a reminder of why every title should be celebrated as though it’s our last.

And none of us here need reminding that for Celtic to win any title, represents in itself a huge victory and the dark forces of our football establishment.

    Who are these people?

Well the sky team used every pejorative term in the book to describe our progress the sealing the title. Limping, trudging, slow, unconvincing, etc

Almost as though they were seeking to devalue it and offer succour to suckers.

  8. Steamie Gerrard has serious problem disciplining his players, all self inflicted.

Having witnessed Morelos and McGregor lashing out at opponents throughout the season, he and the club chose to appeal those decisions, trying to downplay their actions.

Instead, he should have hammered the players, making it abundantly clear to them that red cards do not win trophies.

He has even gone so far as to claim that he would quit if Morelos was sold.

To now claim that the players were indisciplined, rather than acting on instructions is a bit rich.

You have actively encouraged your players to cheat in every way, kicking & punching opponents, throwing themselves to the ground, play-acting as if they have been pole-axed in order to get their opponent a card etc….

    You reap what you sow…..

They should hang their heads in shame but are too busy looking at their bank balances that’s for sure.

Rodgers is for me, the worst, lost any respect and credibility the way he sneaked out of the door. We owe him nothing and he will long be remembered, not for the success he brought us but for being the rat he undoubtedly is….

  10. As for the criticism of former players such as Andy Walker and Packie Bonner – they would visit and tend to Cesar when he was suffering with illness.

That to me is much more significant than any negative nonsense that they spout about Celtic on tv and radio.

I’ve met both of them and I didn’t particularly like them, however they are Centenary season heroes and always shall be.

  13. Congratulations to Neil Lennon and Celtic FC.

Another professional job done on our closest rivals taking the league, and the two cup competitions from Aberdeen. The loanees in January, and returning personnel extended our domination, after the summer of discontent, and the worst start to a league campaign in 20 years, we still saw off the rest.

A new ‘world record’ level of chicanery, an over worked compliance officer, off the radar external indiscipline, we triumphed, with a Celtic squad of course and distance class, despite some internal detractors, ultimately we proved infinately superior. Cementing their places in Celtic history. Oliver Burke and Timo Weah helped us through the new year when it was predicted we’d crumble, in James Forrest we’d turned escape goat into player of any year. Neil Lennon tested all of his inheritance and made use of players stagnating through desellection. Jonny Hayes suddenly started playing for a place, Jozo Simunovic stepped up and took his promotion ahead of Leicester City’s Benkovic, Mikael Lustig was magnificent, Kris Ajer developed into a Celtic centre half, but arguably most of all Odsonne Edouard, justified every penny we paid last summer.

The Celtic manager will need to restructure but thats a debate for another day

It’s magic you know, now that its eight in a row.

    Hail Hail

  14. KC another.

Congrats to all the players, management and coaching staff involved in the championship win. Winning a league is never easy, even when you have the best group of players.

In particular I think we should give huge gratitude to John Kennedy who provided the much-needed continuity during the change of manager. A guy who has dedicated his life to Celtic and maybe doesn’t get the credit he deserves. A future manager for us I am sure.

Congratulations also to James Forrest for POTY, although I would have said that Callum played at a higher level more consistently over the course of the season.

Ajer should at least have been on the list for young player without a doubt. Been a consistent performer all season. Hastie has had – what, about 15? games in the Premiership? Absolute joke!

Anyway, hopefully one more trophy to be won and then onto preps for next season.

Oh, and the guard of honour thing – they won’t do it so why make a fuss about it and allow it to be built up into some kind of “rivalry” issue which only benefits them.

PL is the man no argument, he has kept Celtic in good shape and I respect that

BUT part of that good shape is the £100m BR brought to the club not to mention the success on the park

My point is PL needs to see success in more forms than balance sheets

We had a brilliant manager he is not at Celtic today and PL played a huge part in that

  20. My friends in Celtic,

We are Celtic, we are magnanimous.

There is no doubting we have benefited from having Brendan Rodgers at our club.

Very simply he raised the bar and our profile , both on and off the park.

We have to match or better that, than is our conundrum.

In the present, let’s acknowledge the job NFL has done for us.

    HH, the journey continues.

My comment was a ligh-thearted reference to Mc Coist and a little criticism of the many Celtic supporters who have supportes the MSSM in undervaluing our success so far this season.

I am, of course, in total agreement with you re Sky but I continue to hope for better from my fellow Tims.

You ought to try to get along to Coia`s on Last Game day at Celtic Park.

    Lawwell basher?

Beloved Brendan would have left Celtic for more money, even if

Mother Theresa of Calcutta was the CEO.

We’d to restrain him from China allegedly, and he left for mediocrity at Leicester,

and we even let him sign Marvin Compper

He’s gone and ‘the board’ and eight in a row are here

C’est la vie , we’ve still got to get to our work in the morning.

Let’s enjoy it while we can – Rangers are buying someone from Motherwell and the SFA are brining in new rules on sending offs.

and don’t bother coming back BR, very very grateful for what you’ve done but playing the fan card, stirring it up at the same time and then piffing off when you did leaves a bad taste in the mouth – but that’s what you do in your life – move on leaving people behind!

    Mourinho : £ or € : 0

  29. GFTB,

I love Neil Lennon to bits and totally appreciate what he has done for us. I understand the stress he must have been under to get us over the line.

I also understand that he had everything to lose with no certainty of getting the permanent job.

However if an exceptional manager becomes available , then we have to respond.

    Cheers and HH.

    Guard of Honour??

    Not interested.

Made up recent invention primarily used as an excuse to be offended at something.

Only importnat thing is presentation of the league trophy to a successful Celtic team at the end of the campaign and the unveiling of the League Flag at the start of next year by Celtic.

Don’t want ‘Rangers’ to give a ‘guard of honour’ – it would be a false, fake, disingenuous effort anyway.

Don’t bother – don’t expect or want it. Teams run out the tunnel side by side and get on with the bliddy game.
