Correct. A decent team would have put the ball out for a corner. A decent ref would have known that was going to happen and blown just before the ball was struck and talk to players about holding, thus allowing the corner to be re-taken.

The vast majority of evidence points to the opposite. He was offered a better job in a better league, he didn’t get on with the CEO so took the job when it came along.

you have also completely ignored the statements by Rodgers himself, telling everybody and their Dug, how much he loved Celtic, and how he had the BEST JOB in the World……so how is the Leicester job …a BETTER Job. ?……NOT according to rodgers when he was still OUR Manager.

Leicester wanted him immediately, they even paid 9 Million pounds to get him, if they wait, they pay less, that on its own says they wanted him immediately, surely you can accept that?
Leicester is seen by the vast majority as a step up to Celtic, while we play in Scotland that will always be the case , harsh but true.

On the why did BR go debate – IMHO
In BRs mind he had given Celtic approx £100m plus a double treble and 2 CL Group stages
he felt he had done his bit and would be rewarded supported by PL
In PLs mind he was suspicious – BR had wanted to talk to the Chinese why ?? PL denied BR the option BR was pissed off and the start of the end had begun
Why would PL spend money on players highlighted by BR if BR had shown intentions of leaving
McGinn being the icing on the cake for BR – hence the window of discontent, summer 2018.
We sold 2 and lost 1 key players, Armstrong Dembele and Roberts and basically bought no one
From the first game of 2018/19 season there was conflict with BR and PL
We can debate the who is right who is wrong BUT
The reality is PL runs the show no one, not even a double treble winning manager (who is/was as good as we could hope for) gets to be the main man
Its this issue that restricts our club
Imagine if the crap about Jose was true could you imagine Jose and PL working together
Roy Keane, Rafa Benitez, anyone with something to say – no way
For clarity I do not want any of the above as our next manager
PL will employ another Rony it could be NL but it will not be someone with a positive track record
Because there is only room for one big man at Celtic and that is PL
And that’s the problem

The relationship between him and Lawwell will definitely influenced his reason to leave.

Amidst the joy of clinching the title yesterday, was a feeling of relief.
Relief at the conclusion of what, to my mind, was the dirtiest, ugliest league campaign in my memory.
Notwithstanding our massive long term injuries and the internal strife, the conspiracy to deprive us of the title, exceeded anything that has gone in previous years.
From the first kick of the ball, Gerrard hasn’t removed the dog whistle from his mouth.
Calling out referees, even from the past, plus selecting who should be or not be appointed to their games was not once challenged by either the SFA or media.
His and his Board’s constant claims that they needed CL money for survival was a Widow’s Son appeal.
This, and more had me convinced, at one stage, that we would not be allowed the win the Title.
Credit is due to Neil Lennon, his staff and squad, for keeping their collective eye one the ball.
Credit also due to Brendan Rodgers and his staff for bringing the club to this position.
Credit is not due to him for the manner of his departure.
My opinion is that he came to Celtic in an attempt to rebuild his career.
It had suffered badly when it was deemed that hid Gerrard led team had bottled the PL.
He knew he could win titles in Scotland.
It seems to be accepted that he was working his ticket.
However, I think that he had doubts about winning the eighth, when he studied his injury list and the closing gap. Especially with cup and vital league games pending.
When Leicester came calling, he jumped.
He saw the possibility, to his rebuilt reputation, that defeats at Easter Rd and Tynecastle would erode.
It’s the only explanation that makes any sense to me.

Good to see you’ve accepted more money was a consideration which I pointed out in my original post.
Not many jobs which pay significantly higher are viewed as worse jobs.
The only point i was making was the reason he left was nothing to do with bottling it from Hearts, Hibs and Sevco. If by highlighting that ludicrous suggestion im sticking up for him im guilty as charged.
I’m actually a Celtic fan that is grateful for everything Brendan done for us, he spoiled his legendary status but contributed so much.
