Great table and thanks for posting. Puts everything firmly into context, along with your narrative.
It would be interesting if you could have a column down right hand side with the name of the manager in charge during each of the 8 seasons. Would certainly highlight Lennie’s overall contribution. Too much emphasis about BR from the likes of Andy walker
My vindictive, revengal mind has started planning for “the day” that hopefully we win the ten.
What colour should I paint 10 across the orange hall in castle Street Paisley ? Green ? Yellow ? Or the standard White which will burn into the eyes of every bigoted monkey who lives in Renfrewshire ?
Start planning now-get the paint and brushes in, don’t wait another two years when the cops will be searching the CCTV of B & Q
I ( Like many others), are living through something that we Older Celtic Men thought we would never see again, Celtic winning 8 Titles in a Row. Thank you Celtic, and Neil Lennon , Brendan and Ronny and all the Players and Backroom Staff that have made their contributions.
I am not a Medical Man, but after being forced Off yesterday with injuries KT and Mikael had me very concerned about their fitness for the upcoming Cup Final on 25th May…However, it was GREAT to see BOTH of them dancing around the Pittodrie Pitch in Celebration, after the final whistle, so maybe they were only subbed as a Precaution ?
As for PC Lustig, it was also great to hear NL reminding everyone of how many trophies that Mikeal has collected in his time with Celtic. Like ANY other player anywhere ML will make the odd mistake…but I believe that Mikeal is one of the Bhoys that will be sorely missed once he does leave. He has became a Celtic Bhoy through and through, and he knows what Celtic are all about. I wouldnt put it past PC Lustig to grab a Cup Final Goal. Again yesterday, we witnessed the superb vision and execution of a Pass/Cross from Callum to “Look Up”, and spot Mikeals run into the dons Penalty area for our 1st goal. That was the VITAL breakthrough that we needed.
As for “Songs”…It would be great if the song by DAFT PUNK ” One More Time” was to feature again at Celtic Park, Celtic TV….and also sung by the Celtic support, as we attempt 9 in a Row next Season. At the risk of stating the obvious, should we do 9 in a row, that song would be so RELATIVE as we head towards 10 in a Row.
Again, as we seek the TREBLE, TREBLE in the next few weeks in the build up to the Cup Final…again ” One More Time” appears very appropriate….Glasgow Celtic FC..History makers…once again !

What a day, celebrated with family and friends, my mates and my bhoy and his mates.
My bhoy does not fully realise that at 22 he is not only witnessing something very special at our club, but the times watching The Famous Glasgow Celtic with his auld Dad is more than that, I write this with tears in my eyes for my wee brother who passed recently, and for all the Celtic family who have lost loved ones recently, because I know that Celtic has probably been a part of all of our loved ones who have passed. I used to go to Celtic park in my auld mans later years after I was married with him and did not appreciate those times until he was gone.????
Our whole club/fan base/family/history is so unique that it is the stuff of DREAMS.
So we have ?????????? In A. Row wow and maybe a treble treble.?
Going to watch the game back today about 5times?

Oh what a Gr8 morning
Time though to be planning for next stage/seasons targets or objectives
We have
DeVries, Izaguirre, Boyata, Lustig ( I would give Mikael another year) Gamboa & Scot Allen, all out of contract
Plus
Benkovic, Toljan, Burke and Weah – all returning to home club ?
Yes we have Shved, Bayo to come in, plus, an injury free Christie, Griffiths, Bitton & Kouassi who can come in ( many miss the injuries Kouassi has suffered since arriving)
We may also look at moving another couple on ?
Agree we need to create space for a few of the talented youngsters coming through
But
We need, a back up left back, a future CH, a right back to share duties with Mikael ( is Ralston still injured ?)
We need someone to take some strain from Broonie ( is Kouassi or young Henderson the player for that ? )
We desperately need additional firepower to support Odsonne and a retuning Griffiths
A big task lays ahead, with only 2 months to get sorted before we head for 9
Let’s deal with it, and drive on with a positive manner

Sorry the link is from BBC but quite a wee eye opener.
I can only hope and imagine that NFL will be looking very carefully at the team selection for the game against the huns this Sunday, and factoring in giving some 1st team regulars a wee rest before, KT, Lustig, Ajar, Cal, …Broonie ? etc
Obviously Neil cant throw too many youngsters to the Wolves/animals at Ipox…Especially when I believe that the huns will be even more determined to INFLICT injuries on our Bhoys, as a last desperate hope to stop Celtic doing the Treble Treble, for when we play Hearts in the Cup Final ?
I wonder who the SFA will appoint as Ref for this weeks Huns game….Kissinger ?

There must be a big bounty on offer from the Media Ludge for poisonous anti CFC stuff this morning — I wonder why? What would have brought this on — have we something to celebrate / good news to deal with?
As for the article itself — very poor quality actually so he must have written it himself rather than someone write it for him and he just adds a signature.
Pretty thin gruel dressed up as a thoughtful / insightful / reasoned viewpoint?
No chance — forced / partial / slanted — just the usual strawman tripe you would expect him to write to keep the TFOD2.1 hordes from “jumpin oot’a windaes” on this fine day.

Heading the ball into the back of the net seemed to be a forgotten art or skill for Celtic players for some time past and my word, we actually scored three spectacular headed goals in the last couple of matches.
Judging by the injuries suffered by Celtic players in the previous game against Aberdeen Mikael Lustig risked life and limb when he dived low to head that brilliant goal yesterday and Jozo’s brace- Celtic’s most improved player – in his last two games.
Congrats to Neill and the players who negoiated successfully some tricky fixtures in the run in to another title and in an awkward time for the club after the sudden departure of B R. It’s been a very long season and just one more hurdle to clear.

Regarding yesterday’s game — good advert for Scottish football.
Pretty competitive game where our class trumped their desire to win.
Missed the first 22 minutes so surprised to find out we had yellow cards against already.
Well not really surprised given the Ludge MIB playbook of things to do when they cannot stomach our success.
Finally — OE was immense.
Very much a rough diamond — two years behind MD in terms of development.
But he really is a huge talent and he put a huge amount of effort playing his second string game — back to goal striker.
Finally, finally — JF could learn a lot from TW.
Regarding base / raw talent there is very little in it with JF possibly a better striker of the ball.
However TW’s attitude, confidence and desire to shape the game are way ahead.
JF needs to come out of his shell and show us the player he can be.
One game in three when the mood suits / moons align is not enough.
He seems to have a bad case of the “Scottish cringe”.
I know I might be brilliant but I don’t want to stick out / show off.
TW has no issues with being the main man / standout — that is where he wants to be.

Very interesting link Tony Rome thanks for posting it. With all the doom & gloom that was being thrown around in past couple of weeks an absolutely astonishing statistic is since the team returned from the Winter Break, they have played 20 domestic League & Cup games and over those 20 games conceded only FOUR goals.
In reality that figure should read THREE as one was scored when a Motherwell player broke all the fair play rules by not returning ball when it was thrown to him after the ball had been deliberately put out of play for an injury.
There is no doubt that Scott Bain deserves huge credit for those figures what an absolute fairy tale of a season for the man. His career going nowhere gets a job as back up Keeper with Celtic as our second choice, then goes on to unseat Craig Gordon who in fairness did nothing wrong as a shot stopper and Scott is now a Celtic hero with 2 medals in his pocket & hopefully a third to come.
corkcelt on
I must correct myself, only 3 conceded in past 20 domestic games & less the Motherwell cheating goal, just the goal at Hearts & the Hun goal should count and the Hearts goal was from a penalty..

We have 8 in a row but I want us to Gub the wee Huns to get the treble treble, a record that I don’t think will ever be bettered, then carry on to nine, ten, and maybe even further.come on Celtic do me a favour.
About the B/V on Friday, you really missed a great day ,There were about eight of us,then Wee big George and another guy came in with big bags, when they open them up, first an accordian, then a guitar, and after getting permission to play, they certainly entertained us, About an hour past and Big George entered with a guitar and joined in, I can tell you this, he can sing, Great music from a great band.
