ANGRY Anderlecht fans demanded the sacking of manager Rene Weiler after the team’s 2-2 draw with lowly Kortrijk.
Celtic will travel to play their second Champions League game a week on Wednesday against the struggling Belgian title-winners.
Anderlecht are in disarray following just two wins in seven games after yesterday’s stalemate and they are already nine points behind leaders Club Brugge.
The furious supporters demonstrated after the game demanding the Swiss coach be axed.
And they also complained about the style of football Weiler has them playing, but he replied: “I have never ever known in football a group of fans protesting about the way a team plays the game.
“I don’t like hearing the criticism of me, but that’s part of football. I will obviously have to learn to live with it.
“I am focusing on finding the solutions and I am responsible for results. But I will continue to try and do my job as well as possible.”
Anderlecht face Waasland-Beveren on Saturday before they take on the Hoops at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.
