  1. Barca may have massive debt but their massive income makes it sustainable. It’s not rocket science. They could sell 2-3 players for 200 million if their was any kind of pressure on them.

  2. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

Off to work. First half might have been different if Gamboa hadn’t switched off for the first goal, and if Mouassa had taken his penalty better.

    And if my Auntie,etc…

  3. All the sensitive souls appearing from under their rocks since Saturday. Facebook is busy tonight. lol

Mon the Bhoys in the second half.

    could be 2-2. ;) or 4-0 lol

    Those fine margins in Europe.

any chance of a 5-5-5 system – you gotta feel for the players – keep going bhoys, we’ll get a chance

  5. Well not much you can say about that. I’m sure it’s going the way we all knew it would. Pity Moussa made a wee bit of a mess of the Pen. Scotty Brown and Scott Sinclair having decent games – on the rare occasions we have the ball :-)

  6. GlassTwoThirdsFull on

Not coping with their movement, especially the runs from wide to inside, particularly on our right.

    As feared Dembele getting isolated.

Hate those stuttering run-ups at pens!

Some decent forages forward as the half wore on.

Might think about McGregor or Armstrong for Roberts.

  7. Nye Bevans' rebel soldier on

Lose early goal usual, miss a pen, we’re up against it,

need to get our “don’t get pumped plan” going.

They’re not a bad side eh!!!!!

  8. Half Time, A little time to relax. Disappointed with CQN but then again probably a few Huns in the house.

Brown & Sinclair playing very well. On the rare occasions we do have the ball in their half we are threatening. Heart Breaking to miss that penalty, the lad is young & inexperienced at this level but he did shat it.

I’m not going to pillory him for it, IWe will learn and be better from this, Killie & Alloa next on the list.

  9. Half time

Tough going but heads should be held high. This is the hardest match we will play this or any season.

Delighted for Kieran Tierney who was a ball boy for our victory against them in 2012 and is now holding the left back slot in the Champions League at the Nou Camp. Living the dream, it just might not feel like it at the moment with Messi running at him.

  10. Not too despondent at all.

Barca have a frightening front three and two of them have turned it on this half.

A couple of our boys have been very brave on the ball- Scott Brown, Scott Sinclair and Paddy (albeit on starvation rations).

The back 5 have been stretched and pulled and have not coped brilliantly but they keep plugging away.

Moussa has shown good mentality not to hide after the penalty save but being greedy, I would like a goal even if they score 1 or 2 more- just show them we can hurt them.

    Proud of the bhoys

  11. I posted last night that if we get a gubbing, we get a gubbing.

Most important thing is that all the fancy money we are raking in is used to strengthen team in January.

    Yes. All the CL money.

After all. When it suits PL he will tell us that Celtic don’t budget for CL money.

  12. onenightinlisbon on

Doing all we can against multi million pounds worth of talent. The lads will learn a huge amount tonight no matter what. Can’t believe anyone could even begin to criticise..

  13. sixtaeseven - Gardez la Foi on

We are doing well considering – we could have transformed the penalty and it’s 2-1.

Keeper red carded – would never have happened.

Maybe we will lose another 2 goals (or more) in 2nd half.

    However, we all know…

“Barcelona are the second most valuable football team behind Real Madrid and their infrastructure is pretty much different from all other big clubs. They are owned by their supporters who have a say in selecting club president etc. But still Barcelona have big debt on their head with around $500 million in total.”

    C’MON the BOULD BHOYS !!!

  14. I’m taking a glass half full approach. We missed a pen and two minutes later they score a second.

Brown has been brilliant and we’ve caused them a few problems. We’re up against the world’s best so I’m not going to jump off a cliff if we lose by a few having giving it our all.

I’ve seen enough in that half to convince me that third place is doable, with a bit of luck. We’ll compete well at Celtic Park.

  15. Joe Filippis Haircut on

Barcelona in all honesty are a treat to watch even had we scored the penalty I get the feeling they would just have stepped up a gear. There use of the ball and speed of thought is top notch we are trying hard but you can see the team do not know each other that well.I bet Brendan is learning a lot from this game but we need a few seasons and several top class signings to compete with this quality. H.H.

  16. Big picture – 6 game league. This was always our lowest probability game. Big input to our young and developing teams development.

Maybe Brendan’s first misstep, yer man Demboa, not prepared for a game of this magnitude.

    Keep the faith.

  17. glendalystonsils on

Shame Dembele seemed to let their keeper Psych him out at the penalty with his antics.

Our defence looks leaden footed against their quick movement but Sinclair, Dembele, Roberts look like they could get us back in the game if they get a bit of possession . Brown playing well but Biton looks like he could get booked or worse.

  18. Regardless of what happens in second half tonight and probably rest of group games are merely a sideshow to our season.

  19. the glorious balance sheet on

Messi gets better every time we play him, the guy isn’t human.

Scott Sinclair has played well. Paddy looking good in flashes. Bitton invisible and Gamboa having a tough time of it but then most would do too against forwards of the calibre of messi, Suarez and neymar

I don’t think barca are great at the back but getting out and through their midfield in order to build an attack is an achievement in itself.

A damage limitation job in the 2nd half.

  20. macjay1 for Neil Lennon on

    A few observations.

Some of our players overawed . Understandably .

Never , under these circumstances , should we be caught offside.

Barca forwards looking arrogant. I like that .

They`re not afraid to be cynical in defending.

    Lots to learn. We will.

  21. GLENDALYSTONSILS on 13TH SEPTEMBER 2016 8:40 PM

Shame Dembele seemed to let their keeper Psych him out at the penalty with his antics.

    Let’s get it right.

    Dembele is merely a boy.

10 in a row bhoys, the most important target in our history. Euro fitba a bonus#

No, no, no……small team thinking. You have it the wrong way around!!!!!!!!

10 in a row in a mickey mouse league doesn’t compare with CL football.

Leave that to the deid team…..

    …..who?

    ….clue… not Third Lanark
