All BBC pundits have tipped Celtic to win their ninth straight Scottish Premiership title.

With the new season about to begin, all the top pundits are making their predictions about the Scottish Premiership. And BBC’s top pundits, including Steven Thompson, Michael Stewart, Billy Dodds, Chick Young and Willie Miller, gave their predictions in the favour of Celtic.

Rangers have bolstered their squad before the beginning of this new season by signing many new players, however, it still doesn’t look enough to stop Celtic from claiming their ninth straight Scottish Premiership title.

Bookmakers have heavily rated Celtic to lift the league title again. The odds compilers consider them to be a 4/9 shot (according to 888Sport) to win.

According to Bet365, they are 2/5 to be outright winners again, while William Hill has offered 4/11 on the same outcome.

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are 2/1 (according to Bet365), 9/4 (according to Sports Bet) and 15/8 (according to Sky Bet).

It’s not surprising actually that all pundits are tipping Celtic for the Premiership title again. Just last season, the Hoops completed their treble treble after winning the Scottish Cup final against Hearts at Hampden Park.

For the past 3 years, they have been winning all the domestic trophies, including the Scottish Premiership title, League Cup and the Scottish Cup. Such has been their domination domestically over the last few years.

Celtic claimed their first treble in May 2017 after they outclassed Aberdeen 2-1 in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park. That was also the year when they went undefeated in 47 domestic games and earned the nickname ‘Invincibles’. That season, they amassed an incredible 106 points, finishing 30 points ahead of Aberdeen at the table.

The Hoops claimed their double treble the next year with a victory over Motherwell in the Scottish Cup final. They finished 9 points above Aberdeen, taking their total tally to 82 in the Scottish Premiership.

And in the previous campaign, they again remained unchallenged domestically. Their first trophy came in December when they won the League Cup final 1-0 against Aberdeen.

Though the Hoops suffered two shocking defeats against Rangers, they landed the Scottish Premiership title again.

Then in the Scottish Cup final, it looked that they might lose the game after Ryan Edwards scored a second-half goal. However, Odsonne Edouard struck two goals to complete the treble treble for Celtic.

Now the Hoops will be pushing for their ninth consecutive Scottish Premiership title while Rangers will try to stop their incredible successes.

Rangers looked promising under Steven Gerrard, the Liverpool legend who inspired the Miracle of Istanbul, and they even defeated Celtic twice in the last season.
