Calm it, Moussa

417

I’m now at the stage when I’m hoping people stop noticing Moussa Dembele. Last night’s two goals for France Unider-21s against their England counterparts further established the player’s reputation. He’s going to be on shopping list of every team with north of £20m to spend.

Great, if you’re struggling to buy out a valued retail partner, not so useful if you’re solvent and aspiring to build a Champions League reputation.

At a conference this week so will miss the AGM tomorrow.

  1. Sorry JFH,I would bite your hand of for a Stevie Gerrard season. The American league is no walk in the park, full of great athletes and pros.Scored 5 and 15 assists is a great record.Tremendous athlete who has looked after himself.Broony Gerrard and Rogic would be a great midfield for the qualifiers.Maybe a pipe dream, but who knows.

    BT,

Cheers for the info, but they are a separate company right ?

And the KPI’s are handed down by PL acting as a board member of that company not CFC Limited ?

    Auldheid/BMCUWP,

There is a refreshing frequency of Res12 and LNS articles hitting the meeja, it’s like there’s a bubble about to burst, not getting too opTIMistic but signs are good.

  3. That’s a brilliant read from The Offshore Game. They have nailed Ogilvie and The SFA. It’s also easy to read, explaining it in layman’s terms, a big well done from me to all involved.

Every football fan in Scotland should read it.

    Hail Hail

  4. Really hoping CFC say or do something substantial today, so I can get back to watching the bhoys play.!!

But how did MIT not make the list of important CQN abbreviations?! To borrow my new favourite CQN word- harumpf!

I very much doubt any of this is designed to help Scottish football as a whole,or us in any way at all. More likely, damage limitation-Regan chucks it in return for a payoff, and a non-disclosure agreement.

He knows where the bodies are buried, and even if the above fails to come to pass, his credibility is being torn to shreds. Any comment he makes will be treated as-Aye well,he would say that.

As for RRM at the SFA,there lies the problem.

The place is bliddy hoachin’ wi them already!

Problem is,how do you get rid of them? Many of them are voted in by their peers, others have worked their way through the system over many years and also know where the bodies are buried-and where their best interests lie.

Augean Stables spring to mind, but I doubt the River Cart is man enough for the job!

“John Paul, thanks for your time.

Has Celtic, as a member club, objected to the SPFL about its official website listing a current member club, calling itself Rangers, as being founded in 1872, and having won over 100 honours, including 54 top tier titles, thus backing claims from said club that it is Scotland’s most successful, despite it being just over four years old?

     And, if not, why not?”

With this and all the stuff that yourselves have brought into the light of day, I suspect that the MSM campaign against Regan may have been instigated by none other than Regan himself ! :-)

I was out this morn dealing with legal issues of my own, so I’m just reading back.

Thank you very much for your detailed post in response to my earlier questions .

Hail Hail to the res 12 Bhoys, God Bless each and everyone of them.

From what I’ve briefly read so far, in layman’s terms the position after the agm is that Celtic are meeting with the res12 Bhoys next week ?

If so, then there is hope ?

If funds are ever required, why not ask Sir Rodney for a few quid ?

  19. A bit of history to the latest attempt at improving communications which I welcome.

Way back in 2010 I wrote the attached about a Membership Scheme.

    http://celticunderground.net/after-the-ball/

It was an attempt to address the “who represents me” issue that prevents any unity of approach.

I sent it to DD who seeing the money bit sent it to PL and I had off and on meetings on the matter without making progress. One of the problems was groups not wanting to surrender the access they had to the then system where PL attended individual meetings. I’ll not name them but the project leader got disenchanted when one group pissed on the membership scheme chips.

Anyhow then the SLO arrived and that gave an opportunity to proceed on a different line.

From that came the Supporters Forum that had the same “who speaks for me” flaw and for the first SF I did what today’s blog explains and fed Qs to the SLO having gathered them on CQN and put them into categories (so well done the volunteers for what is being attempted).

In a conversation with the SLO before last AGM I said that it made no sense for issues like the Living Wage or Better Communication to become matters of public conflict at the AGM.

Much better as has been done with the LW issue and the current Res12 Better Com issue to reach consensus, even agreeing to disagree, through regular dialogue before an AGM ratifies if even that is necessary.

I’ll find and post a definition of dialogue I left with JPT and PL back then if I can find it.

The point of this ramble is this. If the latest endeavour is to succeed then who speaks for me agendas, individual and group, need to be left at the meeting room floor.

Once in the room all there is is “us”, probably each with their own view of what is best for them, then other fans and Celtic in that order.

That’s human nature and life is full of challenges to transcend it, to put the benefit of another before self. It’s called love in some places.

The chances are that if the idea/? gathering is wide enough and subjected to “group think” then what will emerge will satisfy the majority but never all of the support.

It’s not perfect but just as it’s an improvement on what went before it might, with the right attitude become the basis for an even better arrangement – like a Membership Scheme maybe. Lol
