The good news keeps coming today.  A solid 0-2   win away to Inverness, the gap at the top of the league narrowing by two points, and issue 4 of CQN Magazine is now out!  Out cover feature in this issue is an interview with Lisbon Lion, Willie Wallace.  Willie lives in Australia but keeps in touch with events at Celtic through the internet.

Bobby Petta also speaks to us, recounting some of the great times he experienced as a Celtic player, as well as providing an introspective on the disappointing John Barnes season.

We cover some recent topical subjects, including policing of Scottish football, the perennial poppy and the financial crisis that has engulfed our game.  Checkout the speech from 1941 by President Roosevelt on four essential human freedoms.  At 60 pages it’s our biggest issue yet and stuffed full of great articles.  Get stuck in…

Read CQN Magazine for free online here. Subscriptions to the online copy are discretionary but you can contribute here. Old School-hard copies will be available from Magcloud shortly.

A Celtic great was an Orange man

    Bertie Peacock.

    I’ve no problem with it.

Have you entered this years Master Debating competition?

  2. I am NL in NZ Tauranga on

Being in NZ didn’t see Gordon Strachan on ESPN but it is what I would expect of him. He became a Celt at his time with us and he is family. Too many of our own sell their soul to the medya after they leave but real celts like Gordon , BBJ and the King of kings will always stand up and be counted as Celtic. Nice to see some positive stuff about Gordon’s time leading the hoops. Yes it did get mechanical near the end but you can never take away the success and the glory of his time. If he can help his mate Neil out with anything fine by me . Great to see a hard three away points when they drop home points. If we can close that gap the pressure will really come on the sooside mob. Have a great weekend.

agreed, the scary thing is what will happen, and what the effect will be. i see it as the beginning of the re-adjustment between west and east. globally, Europe is a right-off for 5 years so the eyes of the world will look east..

a man of many words ……goodnight we shall have another long winded debate another time……hail hail we are all Celtic supporters faithful through and through,,,,,,

  5. If this keeps up, we’ll need to embrace non-sequiturs.

*reaches for dusty bottle at the very back of the cabinet BEHIND the Retsina, Greek Brandy, Amarula cream and thePear liqueur*

Yep, worrying stuff. It’ll probably revert to type..but there are some factors that make it very different from previous. The invasion of the Middle East is no small indication of what lies ahead.

  7. I see the Perth Saints dropped 2 points against fantasy zillionaire Vague Shyte’s yankee doodle dandy 11 today.

Surely Lomas’ jacket is on a shoogly peg now? ;-)

  8. FFM

    :-)

I think his attitude and match influence, in his second season as a first team player, is superb. I wish more senior players would adopt his passion.

  9. Gordon64 –

To be fair, while “I’d rather wear a Turban than a sash” might be construed as racist and offensive in a particular context, FFM mentioned it as being “hilarious” because it came from the mouths of turban-wearing Sikh Celtic supporters. Therefore, in this case, I think you have been over-sensitive, in a nice sort of way.

    Hail Hail.

  10. Bertie Peacock wore a sash, correct. He was accepted into the fold and respected, he also showed respect.

Those days are gone, respect is a thing of the past sadly. These things are cyclical. The cycle moves on relentlessly, respect comes after bloodletting then truce.

From bloodletting comes truce. From truce comes respect. From respect comes peace. From peace comes apathy. then greed creeps in and back to blood letting. The cycle of life. We are entering the age of bloodletting, unfortunately.

    Good aint I?

(should have stuck to the vino)

  11. I do feel that the team has started to fight back, they have hit near-bottom and are climbing back – if you will.

The return of Brown will be good – some arrogance and lip and a big tackle.

If Samaras plays as he can, i am a fan. Jesus – in the Hoops – what’s there not to like?

  12. I’ve been accused of being a person of few words.

But why be long winded when few words will do.

Tonight i’ve heard a load of **** from Celtic friends.

It’s time to hear something positive from the greatest club

    and supporters in the world.

  14. Mind last season, 3 (three) Dundee Utd players saw red against the huns?

Not much in any of the challenges that I can remember, yet no outrage from laptop loyal.
