CELTIC DUO’S SCOTS CALL-UP

ANTHONY RALSTON and Greg Taylor have been called up by Steve Clarke for two warm-up games as he prepares for the Euro Finals 2024 in the summer.

The Hoops defenders have got the nod to join the 25-man squad for the friendlies against the Netherlands in Amsterdam a week on Friday and Northern Ireland at Hampden four days later.

Hoops skipper Callum McGregor, who has missed the champions’ last two games against Hearts and Livingston with an Achilles problem, has been overlooked.

GERMANY CALLING…Celtic pair Athony Ralston (top) and Greg Taylor have been named in the Scotland international squad for the friendlies against the Netherlands and Northern Ireland as Steve Clarke prepares for the Euro 24 Finals in June.

Ralston and Taylor are joined in the player pool with former Hoops stars Craig Gordon, Kieran Tierney, Jack Hendry, Stuart Armstrong and Ryan Christie.

The Scots will play hosts Germany when the soccer extravaganza gets underway in Munich on Friday June 14 which will be followed with two other group games against Hungary and Switzerland.
