CELTIC’S Premiership fixture against St Mirren in Paisley next month has been switched.

The league encounter has been pushed back from Saturday to Sunday September 18 with a midday kick-off for live Sky Sports coverage.

The change will allow the Hoops an extra 24 hours to recover from their Champions League Group F exertions against Shakhtar Donetsk in Poland four days earlier.

FRUSTRATION…captain Callum McGregor looks heavenwards as another chance goes abegging in the 0-0 drawwith St Mirren in Paisley last season.

Ange Postecoglou’s side thumped the Buddies 6-0 and 2-0 in their Premiership meetings at Parkhead last season, but were held in a scoreless stalemate in Paisley just three days after the Greek-Australian gaffer had picked up his first piece of silverware as Neil Lennon’s successor with a 2-1 Premier Sports League Cup win over Hibs on December 19.

It will be the champions’ second screening on the satellite channel next month with the Glasgow derby being beamed on Saturday with a 12.30pm kick-off.

BT Sports will show the Euro games against Real Madrid on Tuesday and then the Ukrainian champions eight days later.
