CELTIC TOP MEN IN DONS HOPE

0

CELTIC captain Callum McGregor and top scorer Kyogo Furuhashi are in the running to start against Aberdeen for the noon kick-off at Pittodrie today.

The Scotland international midfielder and the Japanese striker do not appear to have suffered any reactions to their comeback appearances in the 4-0 loss against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League Group G in Glasgow on Thursday night.

McGregor, sidelined for four games, and Kyogo, who was out for five, were withdrawn before the end of a disappointing evening for the Hoops, but should be again in from the start against former onfield leader Scott Brown and the Dons team-mates as the Parkhead men search for their first away Premiership victory of the campaign.

TWIST AND SHOT…Kyogo Furuhashi fires in a left-foot drive against Bayer Leverkusen which was saved by the keeper.

Greek hitman Giorgos Giakoumakis made a 17-minute cameo appearance against the Bundesliga for his first outing for the Hoops since his £2.5million arrival.

Last season’s 26-goal leading scorer in the Eredivisie with VVV-Venlo could get some game time against Stephen Glass’ side who have gone eight matches without a win.
