    The Stockley tactic worked perfectly.

     

     

    You are right up to a point. It had to be a Stockley/Madden tactic to work perfectly.

     

     

    It did.

     

    An honest referee would have sent Stockley off and the tactic would have failed.

     

    Stockley/McInness wouldn’t have risked the tactic if they thought there was any risk of that happening.

    Broony’s studs did indeed accidentally coonect with an Aberdeen players groin sadly though it wasn’t Shockley’s though I can’t remember who was on the receiving end.

    Well done Celtic and Aberdeen for giving us a tremendous game of football with both sides prepared to go on the offensive the match had everything. Even after such a long hard season Celtic were the fitter side and deserved a great victory. Enjoy the holiers lads.

    Like you I suspect Moussa was not 100%. Whether he would have played in extra time we will never know now, thank god, and Tom Rogic.

     

    Re: Stockley, my take on it is there was pure malace in both the assaults on KT in recent games by the same player. To put it simple I think Stockley is jealous. Hes jealous of KT because this is a lad with a bright future ahead of him in the game, he has praise and admirers from all over Europe.

     

    Stockley never had that. He is a journeyman footballer who will never represent his Country, who will never be remembered for anything he ever did in his well below average career.

     

    His only claim to fame will be, he broke the great KTs teeth.

    Hello again all you young rebels.

     

     

    I said to myself a couple of weeks back ” right Mick no more posts

     

    until Celtic do that treble, just let the young bhoys savour what i

     

    lived through ” and what a joy it’s been this last few blogs reading

     

    all your tales especially the ones who where following in their dads

     

    footsteps and trying to recreate the emotion of the time, i look at

     

    the vids and old newsreels and still find it difficult to believe what

     

    our bhoys actually achieved but i still think you young dudes don’t

     

    realise how good wee Jinky, Bobby M. and Bertie really were, i know

     

    because i seen them all from Charlie Tully onwards and there is no

     

    comparison, and remember they all knew how to look after each

     

    other when things got tough, something to look at when a nomark

     

    of a player breaks the jaw of the brightest young talent Scotland has

     

    produced for many a year.

     

    Now that you have all done your Lisbon trip and your Celtic Hydro

     

    with my idol Rod, it’s our turn this Saturday and our CSC’S tribute to

     

    the lions, a completely sold out venue and we could have doubled

     

    the attendance and you know it’s not just footie people, but Aussie

     

    families who just love what our bhoys bring to the local peninsula

     

    community, they love the ethos and the charitable foundation our

     

    club was built upon.

     

    Now to the wee mhan, what can i say i’m so proud of him, second

     

    top goal scorer in the league, after watching the cup win i knew he

     

    would be buzzing and sure enough another couple of goals today, i

     

    knew him and his mates had planned to take their tops off and

     

    show the hoops if they scored today, he’s already been booked twice

     

    for it but sure enough, first goal there he went with his top off and

     

    fist pumping the Celtic crest with the ref running after him for the

     

    inevitable booking, but no, the ref gave him a right finger wagging

     

    and played on, couldn’t believe it, so i asked him at half time ” what

     

    did the ref say to you wee mhan?

     

    ” He just said hail hail Papa noo get that shirt oan or yir aff next time

     

    So there not all bad are they?

    Regaurding Stokley he was under orders to dish it out yesterday, and we know who told him, if that incident doesent get looked at and dealt with appropriately,then I’m afraid it’s open season, and the referee should be dealt with also, I wonder what his choice of tune was before the game, one can only imagine.

    Only 2 of the current squad made it into my Celtic Treble dream team. C.Gordon and S.Brown. Just too many great players in Mr O’Neil’s squad. Who could you replace, Lubo, Henke, Boyd, Mjalby, Sutton, Lennon, Petrov, Valgaeren, and Lambert with?

     

    Subs would be Paddy R, Kieran T, Moussa D, & Stuart Armstrong.

    You make a good point about who would replace the likes of Lambert, Petrov,

     

    etc. but then what about Paul McStay or Tommy Burns or If i go back to my

     

    dream team of Charlie Gallacher or the imperious Bobby Murdoch i suppose

     

    it’s all about what makes eleven players a team.

    The two first names i would pick of the Celtic teams in my lifetime would be Bobby Murdoch and Bertie Auld.

     

    Bobby was an absolute world class genius.
