    I’d go as far as to say that players should have been targeted weeks ago,and followed up on depending on CL or EL qualification.

    Well, who wouldn’t disagree with that? Especially in light of the fact that we’ve had literally SCORES of Bad Deals over the past few Seasons…

    Why the trust after so many Bad Deals???

     

     

    Of course it’s early days yet but as deals go Brendan seems to be the man fot sure.

    Apparently BR watched every Celtic game from last season. He will have seen what we saw,and aided by watching them in training,practice matches,and competitive games,identified comers and goers.

     

     

    Three days short of the window closing with much work to be done is not good executive management by any standards.

    First time I have seen the new version of offside being implemented.

     

    Commentators not a clue what was given and why.

     

    Do they not have to read the laws of the game if they are to commentate?

     

     

    Receiving the ball after previously being in an offside position.

     

    Midds player in the opposition half comes from an offside position and picks the ball up 10 yards inside his own half.

     

    The offside now takes place where he touches the ball therefore in his own half which he, the coach and commentators did not understand.

     

    It is a new part of the offside law this year.

    Yip, the result on tuesday should have triggered one of a couple of scenarios, obviously it didn’t and we will be grubbing about in the bargin basement come the last couple of hours.

     

    We were in for Joe Allan, Lpool wanted a few bob, we baulked at the £5-6 mill price, quite right imo, then all of a sudden he is a Stoke player stating it happened very quickly, the reason it happened so quickly is cos Stoke offered a crazy amount and the deal happened within two days, so when you hear all the excuses for players not wanting to come and it takes ten to tango, it’s all wind and pish, money talks.

     

    That package is wrapped and will be sent to your Da in the morning, should be with him by the end of the week.

    I don’t understand why you are getting so worked up about Celtic trying to deal late in the transfer window. Have a look on Wednesday. Even the richest clubs on the planet will be rushing through last minute multi-million pound deals. Why is Celtic still working on deals at this stage seen as a negative?

     

     

    I could see your point if we hadn’t signed anyone, but we have made 4 or 5 decent signings already. Why do you believe all our signings have to be rushed through just for the sake of it? Haven’t we had enough of that?

    Good afternoon posters and lurkers,

     

     

    This time next week we’ll just be a couple of hours away from the first fixtures kicking off in the latest competition. And as the entries keep coming in it’s not too late for you to join the 118 that have already signed up. So not only is the prize money now well over £2,000 but with every entrant it’s another £5 to Wee Shay.

     

     

    The prize pot is so high this time due to the last 3 competitions ending in a rollover situation. But that will not happen this time. There will be a winner (or winners) and the full prizepot will be paid out. So might be worth thinking about spending to accumulate here and putting in that second or third entry or asking your friends and family to join. We are a competition Open To All and the prizepot is unlikely to ever be this high again!

    Good idea to have a winner but how about only winning half if it’s after a playoff? Like when the last three all have a losing week but get their lifeline.

     

     

    That would allow the pot to build again slowly.
