    Good Afternoon Timland.

We could get Paterson from hertz for a million,he knows the

game up here a big strong lad, rather that than getting a player

    on loan.

  4. Dallas –

Thanks for that. I offered my mate Stephen a 50% stake in my bet. He declined as he had already bet 2-1. 5 minutes to go he was gloating big time, and I couldn’t blame him. A few minutes later he was shaking his head and calling me a jammy bassa.

I did buy him a pint though.

I know Paul Larkin from my days travelling with the Edinburgh No 1 CSC. Great fella.

    Sandman –

    Thanks.

My sister had some of that jam too. Coupla quid on -2 and on 4-1.

    Scandalous.

  6. Nye Bevans –

Apparently Celtic tried to prise Patterson away from Hearts, but wee Anne wouldn’t Budge. And it wasn’t about money. They point blank refused to sell him to a rival club, so Celtic didn’t get permission to talk to the player.

  7. 57,000 at yesterday’s match – FANtastic

I’m off to Croke Park for the All – Ireland football semifinal between Dublin and Kerry. There will be 80,000 at the match which is between two amateur teams. Probably the best attended sports event in Europe this weekend.

  8. A pal just got email from Easyjet cancelling his booking to Dusseldorf for the Birussia game, basically saying he got it too cheap and will have to pay a price increase, an absolure scandal, can they do this?

Hello again all you young rebels.

Please let Grace be a terracing song, I’ve just played it again and again

and my own wee Grace who can hardly string two words together keeps

saying “again papa, again” , think it must be a Celtic thing , in the blood :-))

But it is very emotional and hopefully the young dudes will not try and

    ramp it up.

    H.H Mick

  10. Completely agree apropos the posts about the box-to-box , battle-hardened, physically tough, mentally strong midfielder who can take the ball under pressure, retain possession under pressure, and make the pass when required. Tall order but we are Celtic. I’m certain BR will be of similar mind ( rocket science it ain’t ) so up to PL to deliver before the windae shuts. Nothing less!

As to Wisdom , don’t know much about him but unless he’s a class above Janko, Boyata, Lustig and anyone else who can play RB, don’t bother.

Re McGeady. Not interested. Quite simply , not what we need .

  11. i'vehadtochangemyname on

just read the vic article – now there’s a place to have a csc – kenya

imagine drinking great grog in a pub in kenya watching the hoops against hamilton!

Re the song Grace, as a young bhoy I used to bore my pals saying I will have that song at my wedding or funeral or maybe both…..this was years ago, got married last year and company was mixed so Grace wasn’t played at the wedding (the Mrs also loves the song) anyway about 2am when the last punters were leaving we were thanking everybody for turning up when my mate just walked by and said “I take I will need to wait till your funeral to listen to Grace” the bam must have waited about 20years for his wee dig but it was funny at the time

Miss GFTB’s baptismal name is Grace partly due to the song but mostly as its a beautiful name

  13. Bada Bing

Another possibility would be to fly to Eindhoven and take the train from there to M’gladbach. Might be worth looking into.

Very briefly…enjoyed he whole occasion at the Green Temple yesterday. Met John Fallon who introduced me to Paul67’s dad Martin, a lovely man who then introduced me to Hamilton Tim and his good lady the Minx. So glad to have met you both, even if it was for a few brief moments…had to rush off and meet up with my cousin…t’was a decent game and a great result…was struck by the singing of ‘Grace’…so, last night I listened to various versions on youtube and ended up spending the night listening to Irish music which I hadn’t heard since the early 60s…very nostalgic…Anyway, must go and celebrate my wee mammy’s 98th birthday…

Celtic is David to Barça’s and Citeh’s Goliath.

It’s my opinion that the boy David got lucky, up against Goliath’s 6 cubits and a span, with his bronze helmet and armour weighing 500 ( yeah, that’s right, lady, 500!) shekels.

Not to mention his spear, with its 600 ( yeah, that’s . . Oh, done that), shekel iron tip!

The youngster was jammy with that headshot, we need to tool up a bit more!

    You don’t get the analogy?

    Philistine!

  17. Not surprised by the hearts woman’s stance . Just wonder what would happen if we offered , Armstrong and Gary Mackay smith in the deal as I think paterson could do a job for us .

  18. Ivehadtochangemyname: There is a football team in Nairobi called Kibera Celtic, named after us because it was established with the same charitable ethos. The Celtic Foundation has contributed to it in the past and probably still does.

We have an autographed KCFC jersey on display in our school as a result of our own contributions to the club.

Kibera is the second largest slum in Africa.

I was told that Andre Wisdom travelled to the Spurs Vs Liverpool game yesterday. I have also heard he will be our RB, can also play CH. A good Player who was given his debut by Brendan. Has spent his last two or three years on loan at Derby and WBA I believe.

If we got Wisdom and McCarthy (if rumours of a groin op are accurate can’t see it) signed a good window in my opinion.

    Keep the Faith!

    Hail Hail!

Hope your mum has a great day, enjoy her birthday and by reading on here seems many had a smashing day yesterday

  21. Well done Celtic… great week, Brendan has certainly earned his spurs… what he has turned round in two months is immense…

Well done to him and the bhoys…

    BSR @ 10:53,

    Interesting…

An article that is volumious, between the lines.

So Craig Thompson takes umbrig… because he is not allowed to take a biased decisions and manipulate games as he seems fit without Criticism from commentators.

The SFA immediately fly into action and insist on talks with the Broadcaster.

The SFA approve of (or could it be suggest???) Craig Thompson, refusing to co-operate with the Broadcasters re-kick off times.

How many Seasons is it since we’ve had this nonsense, I’d go….. four.

Remember a similar hoo-haa when Willie Collum got decisions wrong last Season. When Micheal Stewart basically said Collum should be sacked as a top level referee.

Where were the SFA meetings with the BBC? When was it suggested that the officials co-operation with the Broadcasters be removed.

Remember that? No! ‘Cause it was deemed that as Mr Collum had hampered Aberdeen’s title hopes, he should be relegated for two matches.

It’s not so much the pundits questioning dodgy Refereeing, it’s under what circumstances you criticise the dodgy refereeing.

*Wow! Referees refusing to co-operate re kick off time with Braodcasters… Can you imagine this happening at the FA or UEFA… unthinkable.

    MULLET AND CO 2 @ 10:37 AM,

    Good post…

    Hail Hail

  22. Airlines actually have computer programs that are constantly monitoring flights, analyzing booking patterns, and in real-time changing the number of seats available at each fare level.

If a flight is booking up faster than expected, an airline may decrease the number of seats available at some of their lowest fare levels, or wipe them all out altogether.

If a flight is not selling well, suddenly more seats may appear at fare levels that were previously “sold out”.

And if you live on an “Island” you are snookered :-))

  23. Re the spat between BT and the sfa

Sutton will either have to curb his comments or he will be out of a job, it’s as simple as that.

Honesty and integrity doesn’t come into it.

It’s either about the huns or money and feck everything else.

  24. Would there be any Wisdom in bringing Mario Ballotelli to CP? James + Mario = Wisdom or am i bonkers :)

  25. We also signed the Bearded One (Hartley) from Hearts

I can’t see them being able to afford the wages of Armstrong or GMS.
