Disappointing result after a very dominant first half. One defensive error cost us a win tonight, coupled with a lacklustre performance from the front men. Failed to capitalise on an extra man advantage from 60 minutes onwards. Broonie strolled through the game, in control, and Ntcham was composed in every thing he did. Odsonne looked a bit off the pace. mcGregor had a great first half, but faded after being moved to right after Rogic substitution.
Next week will be very difficult now. Obviously, have to score at least one, but we might have more clear chances if we have the chance to hit them on the break.
KT MOTM. Never in doubt.

I thought the Greeks were well worthy of their point. Scored an away goal and defend very well when reduced to 10 men. If anything I would question our lack of creative idea to break down a well organised defense.

We are not out but we are in big bother the Greeks gave a lesson in defending.Jack Hendry is definately to raw to be a first team player we needed to get to the bye line and get behind there defence but we failed to do that and played in front of there defence. I cannot see where we can catch them out in the away leg a 0-0 will suit them just fine. However,we have to get past Hearts on Saturday first and there is no guarantee we will do that. H.H.

pretty much what I expected after a desperate week of psychological negativity , all starting from BR telling the media how the team is weaker, we need better players, etc…. not ideal nor relevant leading up to a match of this importance.
We have no guile and no areal threat – both needed to break down defenses.
Disappointed in everything Celtic this week – we can still do it next week but I don’t think the board really cares!

Sorry to say we are out
Tonight was quite pathetic- not because we didn’t sign McGinn but because we were one dimensional- this is why we drew at home last season – no way round an adequate bus – this was St Johnstone revisited
One of our worst Euro performances- if I was Kieran I might think about joining a team where there are ten others on my side
Once again sorry but in over 50 years that was the worst – not the result but the shape, attitude, thought, skill and anything else you care to mention
Had we had a decent result tonight Boyatta wouldn’t be sold, he will go now I reckon.
Pedro has gamble for years now at qualification, it wilny work this year, one times too many.
Who do we get in the euro league qualifier then ?

Greece won Euro 2004 playing like that. Even the best can be beaten by anti-football. The phrase hadn’t been invented then…..but it was perfect for them.

This is an Athens team who haven’t started their season. After 1st goal our tempo dropped. This was the crucial time. They were there for the taking.
As game went on they got defensively more confident andit became clear fairly soon that we wouldnt score.
As things stand, the KT/SS axis is dead. KT/CMG is FAR more productive.

no point buying anyone now…sell Boyata and probably Dembele…get players on loan… “Difficult to get players to come…etc” We strughgled to qualify last 2 years …have a weaker squad this year. With Boyata and Lustig back late from WC and MD injured. Always going to struggle.. And crowd wss flat. Needed a lift with some decent improvemnets in squad.. So barring a miracle its sunday games for a few months..
Until we can score from crosses into the box we’ll never beat packed defenses,

Too many towel throwers on here. How about waiting for the tie to finish before all the doom and gloom. If we had won tonight what would the verdict have been. That we were through? Don’t think so. It’s only half time FFS

it will be difficult over there BUT we can dream.
If not , sell Boyata and Simunovic, and get 2 steady CHs for the Europa League …one old head please.
Sinclair, why oh why , does he always cut inside…the one time he went for the byeline he left their guy for dead…we need him to do that. If not he is not worth a shirt…he actually reduced our threat by KT dropping deeper.

One question….has SS forgotten how to get to the byeline? He was at his most effective when he varied his attacks like that. Now he almost always cuts back inside and is very predictable. He needs to be rested a bit more IMHO.

The goal we conceded illustrated well, the fact that our two central defenders have less than four years professional playing experience between them.
I still cannot believe that we didn’t sign Blanche Carter.

It’s not towel throwing but a realisation that we are poor away from home in Europe, just look at the performance against a poor Rosenburg. We may have stopped them creating but barely got involved in the game. And the fact we need to score makes the odds stacked against us.
The hands cant hit what the eyes cant see on
We looked bereft of creativity. I can’t say I fancy us to go through now. After all, if we can’t beat them at home, when it’s their first game of the season, when they are missing their captain and star CB and when they play for 1/3 of the game with 10 men, then I can’t see us going to Greece and getting a result

I have to echo Stebhoy’s comments.
At this level games are won and lost on very fine margins.
I’m left wondering if the discord at senior management level (brought in to the public domain by the manager), which has now spread amongst the support served as a constructive backdrop for such an important game.
