on the positive side …. while we haven’t been great tonight, we (i) have been much better than we would have been last season, and (ii) playing a team like this will make sunday’s game against the zombies seem like child’s play …
Not in hindsight,but Joze has been our best defender,making a good partnership with Eric,why change it.KT being shown up for his inexprience,especially in the 1st half.
On top of it all,they seemed so much stronger than us all over the park,especially in midfield.I have watched this team and they have been so poor in recent games.Either we are poor,or they have played the game of their lives.I think its the first.No closing down,no good first touch,no cohesion.Too many of our supposed star players poor,Sinclair,Dembele,KT,Broony,and worst of all,Toure,too much experience to be caught out twice.just a bad night,but we move on and try to get better.

It doesn’t matter where they are in their table their technical competency to survive that league is a trapeze act as far as we are concerned. But I suppose you can’t blame dreamers.
I didn’t think they were great, just better and fitter than us, and I didn’t think we were that bad, just not as good as them…….

Aye the suits have a lot to answer for, but hopefully the great moustachioed one has realised that we need to invest to get results, Brendan has brought us the CL, but we need better at this level and Brendan can only do so much.
I never crit the players, they can only do as best they can, give the manager better quality and we can expect better, don’t and we can expect more nights like tonight.

We have done better than expected under Brendan but it is still early days we need to continue to build this group as the hardest in the Champions league and MG wll finish third.We need to keep the faith and look forward to Europe next season.H.H.

MGB the better side tonight, but take Kolo’s errors out of it and neither side could have felt hard done by if it had ended a draw. Dembele saw little service, Rogic good in spells. Likewise James Forrest. The Captain has had better games.
Lets pick ourselves up for Sunday. Same starting line up should see us through safely.
FT 0-2 got what we deserved from that game,second best all over the park,they are a typical german team tchnically very good ,keep going don’t change their game,having said that ,the only way is up COYBIG
Never got going at any point in that match.
Dreadful performance from Celtic if we are honest.
Barely troubled them.
We are not ready for this level of football.
All we can do is do our best, make the money and then be ready for next season.
The goals we give away at this level are criminal – just plain comedy of errors stuff every match.
Defending like that means there is no chance of progression. We will lose in Germany and then that leaves us a game against Barcelona to try and put a respectable face on it.
It’s hard to watch and hard to take playing like that after so much hope was raised after the last match.
Celtic must go back to the drawing board and build for next season in Europe.
No disgrace losing to a very fine side.
Lots of inexperience on show tonight, particularly KT and MD and that lesson will help develop the young players.
Oh and just where did Efe find a Kolo mask??

Over the 90m we looked tired in comparision to BM.
Second to every ball,add poor passing under pressure and we could only lose. Felt a wee bit for big Kolo who has been a real leader so far.
Anyway that looks like Europe over after xmas, hoping BR has his eyes on some central mids so we are up and running for next year.

Can’t agree with that, they ripped us a new hole too many times in both halves, I thought we were lucky to escape with only 0-2
How is it we wait until the Euro games to make the huge blunders.Its like a curse.The more modern Celtic fans might not know this,but we have been doing it for 40 years.
Not unlike the Scotland team.We seem to get there,and then shoot ourselves in the foot.
We have done this so many times,get to the crunch,then throw it away,its unbelievable.Is Kolo the new Efe.He should be,because a guy of his experience should have known that ball had no pace to get it over the line.Just hoof it for a shy.
Our luck.
Obviously disappointed with result but Gladbach were the better team on the night and deserved their win. They were the more positive team from the off, we were too defensive and lacked ideas in getting forward. Our forwards received little service and there were too many poor performances throughout the team.
However, on a more positive note we did create some chances. We packed out the stadium and we are still in the CL. We are also a much improved team and we are only in the early stages of the Brendan Revolution.

Outclassed in the middle of the park, couldn’t dominate, supply the forwards or help the defenders, two mistakes for the goals and Toure looks like he has a groin strain, the germans were technically excellent and pressed us into mistakes, Brendan will know the problems and I hope has the backing to sort it
