    Ah well

BMGB now have 2 more points than us……..with 3 games to go

Enjoy the big league fellow Celts, take the good with the bad, not read back but at a guess there will be plenty moaning, leave the ones who would rather we weren’t there to stew in adversity

    Turkeybhoy

Apart from the result hope you had a great birthday (Celtic don’t have to win all the time :-)

Win in Gladbach, then the Stockholm dream is still alive :-) :-)

We (aye right) will all wake up Celtic fans tomorrow, good night and god bless fellow Celtic fans

  2. First things first: BMG are an excellent team. Long time since opponents have impressed me that much. They combine the best of Barca – little sharp passes and playing in groups of two or three – with traditional German aggression and skill.

Tonight we simply weren’t at the races for long periods, and that was disappointing.

It is a reality check about how far we need to improve to compete against the best in Eng Spain, and Germany.

Positives? Kieran is now a man, not a boy. Brown was always willing, harrying, and trying to make things happen. Sviatchenko was immense…

Onwards and upwards, let’s skelp Govan Athletic on Sunday.

Well you did say you hated it, and it’s normally the other way round.

    Turkeybhoy

Opinions are debatable, Celtic players are what they are.

To be honest ,I thought we were poor all over the park.Only Rogic magnificent pass lit up our night.

    Anyway,now onto Sunday.

  4. Turkeybhoy. such childlike sentiment. Honest we were unlucky.

Interesting now to see if Simunovic steps back in for Sunday.

Big Kolo probably won`t be around next season.

    We need a 20 yo Kolo .

    Hopefully Simunovic is the man.

BTW I really want to see Leigh against the currants.

Bet he`s itching to get at them.

Its the way they say it ;-)

    Ha – VERY good

    Turkeybhoy

We didn’t raise our game, but like I said BMG are a fine side especially at denying space which made Celtic look

    hesitant and lacking in ideas.

  7. I think Jozo will replace Kolo on Sunday. Feel a bit bad for the big guy, the first was his error, but the second came because they were forcing him into the Quarterback role, and it doesn’t suit him.

Thought the Danish CH for BMG was brilliant.

  8. Kolo is a one game a week man so won’t play on Sunday. It will have nothing to do with tonight.

Paddy Roberts looked back to his best when he came on.

Match Report and manager’s comments both posted. Too tired to post links.

The only unlucky people tonight are your parents for having a total twat like you.I bet they really love a visit from you.Aye right.

  10. BSR

True that. We weren’t at the races tonight and at this level we need to be way above our normal level.

    Neganon

My issues with Celtic Plc are widely known. Tonight was about the team on the park. Personally I think you’re losing the ability to differentiate between the two.

  11. Ah well, a bit of a reality check. Too many players harried early on and that set the tone; Borussia won the tactical battle in the first 15 minutes.

We couldn’t control the middle of the park; they were far more disciplined than we were and their movement off the ball was far better.

That was a better lesson than the one in Barcelona; we will learn from it.

  12. Looks like Barca hammered Citeh tonight. Very telling.

I think German and Spanish football is leaving the EPL behind, despite the vast riches.

  13. Almore…

    Your right about the accessibility.

My last couple of posts have been from my phone and the pop ups drive me mad.

Even lurking is becoming a chore. Hopefully it will be sorted and get back to the way it was.

As for the negativity, ffs, it’s early days for our new manager… step back, you could have a loaf of breed as a manager and not a pot to piss in.

Roll on pumping the zombies. HH

  14. Was at the Scottish Parliament today. Don’t tell ACGR but i sat on Annabel Goldies seat today…..and it wiznae dry!!

  15. Neganon,

Blogs like this need voices like yours – sceptical, critical, etc.

But it looks like you live in a black and white world, and are incapable of seeing the shades in between. Using a result like this to have another rant about the Board is just weird, to be honest.

We lost against a better team from a significantly bigger and richer league. Let’s analyse how we can improve (we need a good midfield enforcer IMHO), rather than jump straight to DEFCON1 again…

    Haven’t you heard?

    There’s no Old Firm anymore.

I reckon there is, but it just isn’t called The Old Firm.

  17. Itialiabhoy

The pub I watched the game in had three games on: Celtic. Barcelona and Arsenal. Surprisingly most of those were Arsenal fans.

From my glimpses to the Barca game Man City had a right good few chances.

  18. Neganon,ya fud,Where did I say we were unlucky. You are a total trumpet.A Ghoul who comes onto the blog to gloat and feed on a Celtic defeat.I have told you twice, and will say it again,GTF off the blog.

I will never converse with you again on here. The rest, and there are some, not many, can lick your ass all they want. You are found out.A nonentity who loves our beloved team to get beat to prove your pathetic points.

  19. Jozo and Paddy to come in at the weekend for me. Big Jozo was very unlucky not to start tonight imo.

  20. glendalystonsils on

Moussa wasn’t great tonight. He didn’t see a lot of the ball but when he did, his hold up or control wasn’t great.

Maybe there’s been too much hype around the young man in the build up.

He will hopefully be a huge player for us for at least a couple of seasons to come, but let a hungry Leigh loose against the huns on Sunday with Moussa on the bench.

It would be psychologically good for both of them.

  21. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

During the build up I realised we’d get beat. Somehow, by some strange stupidity, we’d somehow bizarrely concocted to conclude that a 3-3 draw was sufficient evidence to EXPECT to win tonight. Flat from the off and that was just the support.

Couldn’t believe the amount of greeting faced idiots berating our players.

Borussia are what you’d expect from a German outfit: strong, well organised, athletic and efficient. Their speed of thought and reaction is worth watching on video, something that presumably is ingrained, can it be coached ?

There was two instances when Brown won the ball in the first half and tried to get us going…….hunted by 3 or 4 opponents, before a Celt reacted to receive a pass.

Early doors they hemmed Celtic in and exposed the space behind Kieran…………they did their homework and a number on us.

Their supporters were outstanding……….how did so few make such a noise ? Celtic need to find a different berth for the away fans, the acoustics in that corner gives away fans oooOOOMPH

  22. Celticrollercoaster supporting Shay, our bhoy wonder along the way on

Looks like we were not the only team to suffer tonight from defensive mistakes. From BBC report

“City were competitive in the first half, but made far too many errors against a ruthless Barcelona revelling in Messi’s return from injury.”

Big boys league where you have to take your chances and are punished by your mistakes.

  23. The likes of NegAnon and Tony Donnelly are why I rarely post on here.

I’m ashamed that people like them are part of the Celtic support. I feel sorry for their families.

  24. Off now before I really lose the plot with that twat.Others may try and treat him decently, but after a CL defeat,to come on and spout that crap is unacceptable.Fill yer boots.

    Onward to Sunday.COYBIG.

  25. Credit to BM, they thoroughly deserved their victory and their fans seemed terrific all day. We’re still a work in progress and it will take time.

Hail hail to the decent guys on here. We’ll learn and we’ll bounce back.

  26. BCW

I thought they had Kieran’s number and rattled him early on. He never recovered. It was a severe reality check and learning curve tonight for the youngster.

  27. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

    REGGIE

    Exactly.

Brendan has been here for just 6 short months……….what a distance we have travelled. Heard him on radio, talking about additions to the squad…….taking him years to get what he wants.

    Six short months…………20/5/16……….

  28. Although it was great to see Paddy at his trickiest again but, like his teammates there was not enough end product.

I think JF had several great moments and speedy runs in the first half. He also ( unbelievably, swoon) put in a number of great crosses.

We are fortunate to have them both.

BM were better in most departments and sometimes you just need to accept it.

    Four things to add though….

Had Sinky scored in the first half things would have turned out better for us.

At this level we need at least 9 players to be on their A game….they weren’t.

Where it became clear BM had grabbed the midfield nothing was done formation wise to maybe mess them up a bit.

We gifted 2 goals due to errors from an initially unforced position.

It’s the CL…if you don’t play well and you make errors the outcome is pretty predictable.

  29. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

    THETIMREAPER

I think they purposefully exposed that area early as they knew KT and Celtic would try to make forward play. Their plan really worked and had more than Kieran on the ropes.

Personally feel that we could learn from their ability to react……..all night they looked sharper, individually and certainly collectively.

  30. Paddy was on Millionaire and had 500,000 pounds and one life line, phone a friend. The quiz master asks Paddy a question.Which bird does not build his own nest?So paddy strokes his chin, and says ‘do you know what ?I’m going to phone a friend I’m almost certain he would know the correct answer and win me the Millon. So the quiz master gives paddy the options.

    A)cuckoo

    B)magpie

    C)thrush

    D)sparrow

So paddy gives his mate Mick the four choices and within five seconds Mick tells paddy the correct answer is cuckoo.’Are you sure’ asks Paddy Yes replies Mick and the quizmaster informs paddy he has just won a million. So next day paddy arrives home and meets Mick in the pub for a drink to toast their success.’How on earth did you know that answer Mick?It was easy says he a cuckoo lives in a clock.sure it’s a grand old team…

  31. Should have added

Our 19 yo and our 20 yo….were treated with huge respect by our opponents and found the going very hard indeed.

They may not know it at the moment but a tremendous education for them. They will benefit.

  32. Turkey

With respect the German league is so many miles ahead of the sectarian scottish league, we were lucky to be on the same playing park as the Germans tonight.

To only get beat by two goals is a positive imo.

We got a draw agin the brits last game, who got humped tonight, sort of puts our 7-0 score in reality

The German league is the strongest on the planet, the Spanish is the best on the planet, the brit is the richest on the planet, and we are in among them all.

So in conclusion, I reckon you don’t have a scooby what you are on about, birthday or no :-)
