Gary McAllister willing Eduardo to score. Hurting Hun.
*is that the same mcalllister who after scoring against the deid team at hatebrox for leeds didnae know how tae celebrate.
not quite end to end but it is a very open game.
1 bit of incisiveness has been the difference really.
Half time. We re winning and we ll score again.
McAllistair absolutely hates us. Not a good word to be had and would convince you we re watching a different game.
Another early goal please…
Some enjoyable moments. A bit too open, though. As things stand, it looks like a game in which they will score.

These guys are no mugs. IMO they will beat Salzburg, we will do extremely well to keep a clean sheet here. Having said that we must continue to play them holding a high line. They are some boys with their pot shots, if we sit back they will be pinging shots at us from all angles.

Good open game. When you think of the players out we are doing really well.
Great from Commons but plenty evidence of him losing cheap possession.
Their back four and goalie are desperate to give the ball away. I predict Salzsburg will hump DZ for exactly that reason. That’s not to say DZ are a bad side tho.
We have to tighten up or this mob will score they are being allowed to create to many chances. I would take off Tonev and bring on another central midfielder to help Broonie and Johansson or move Ambrose into midfield and fisher at right back.This game has a long way to go. H.H.
Our goal was a thing of beauty cross field pass from Effe to Izzy, Izzy plays the ball towards KC at edge of box, KC dummies and continues run inot box ball goes to Anto who picks out KC with a pin point pass, KC coolly slots it past the keeper – GOOOAL

Great game of football so far. Zagreb are a very good side.
If Commons had been a tad more relaxed when the keeper cocked up,I’d be a tad more relaxed too!

Need to see more from Wakaso who looks like he could offer us something. Unlike Johansen who is a sloppy passer and not strong enough in the tackle.
DZ look very dangerous. We need to play a strong game in the second half.
First half – good performance………….
Listening to clueless American soccer-ball commentators actually far preferable to biased Scottish commentators.
Id be amazed if we do not score again but id also be amazed if they don’t score!
Could be an entertaining 2nd half!
Pretty even display by both teams, the difference was Commons and Stokes, NFL cheers!

Great first half. Their boys know how to shoot, so we need to keep pressing high up the park.
I wish Sutton would say WE.
Oh and Stokes pass was top, top class.
Again tho, the right hand side offering us little
Brilliant goal but fell out of the game since then, certainly more disciplined than in previous games, but really not much going forward after a bright start. Wakaso and Izzy combining well on the left, but nothing on the right whatsoever. You don’t expect much attacking from Ambrose but Tonev is offering no width and is hiding from the ball.
Despite the aforementioned brilliant goal, still stand by my pre match comments that Commons and Stokes are too similar.
Depends on wether we want to hold what we’ve got, but RD doesn’t strike me as the type, would take Johansen and Tonev off for Kayal(or even better Henderson) and Griffiths.

Ah right. I read that they had a former Arsenal man in their squad and saw Eduardo’s name, and made 5 out of 2 and 2.
HT Celtic 1-0 Dynamo Zagreb
Good, open game. We are a little fortunate to be 1 up with the woodwork, Craig Gordon and poor finishing coming to our rescue several times. We have had a few chances ourselves and should have scored a second when Kris was gifted a golden opportunity by their keeper.
Most of the issues we are having are coming down Efe’s side. He hasn’t played badly, but is up against a quality left winger.First 20 minutes we were in control, but after that, DZ gained in confidence and to be fair, look a decent side.
We need to get our shape back. We have been stretched too wide in midfield with Wakaso playing very wide left. Tonev looks very lightweight on the right. We look a much better side with Kris playing behind the front man. Took his goal beautifully after combining well with Stokes.
All to play for here. We need to score another goal.
If Scotland is ever going to get aff our knees we need to get away from Gary McAllister is a hun. Who cares?
Zagrebs Wilson is a player.

Enjoyed the first half.
We started well but again ended the half on the back foot. Perhaps the high tempo system is proving a problem to maintain for an entire 45.
Sticking with my 2-1 prediction.
Hard to gauge how good Zagreb are… We’re pressing well, but still, loose balls costing us.
Izzy doin good down the left, but he and wakaso’s final ball ain’t good enough at the moment. We need more threat down the right.
But… What do I know, i had Scepovic scorin two tonight.
High temp is a problem for some us. Shouldn’t be tho!
Really enjoyable game of football!! for a neutral that is,
edge of the seat stuff for us Tims, happy to say we are playing well but look in trouble anytime that Eduardo fella got near the ball I the last 15 mins.
Excellent move and great finish from commons and a couple of other very good efforts from outside the box
You can see the high energy pressing game Ronny D is talking about but it does look like the game is very stretched, almost a defence v attack all the time
but it’s exciting and we look up for it

I’ve enjoyed the game but I think we are asking Brown and Johansen to do too much in the middle of the park.They seem to be 2 vs 3 quite often.
And I doubt Stokes and Commons will be able to chase down their CB and goalie for another 45.
They probably should have scored one on the weight of chances – though we definitely should taken another gift.
Our defence have been good…so far.
Even game. On knife edge.
Sounds like a great game and also sounds like we are doing well!
So I’ll go for a Wakaso strike on the 48th minute to make it 2, then 40 minutes of hysterics that will shorten my life by 5 years.
We’ll win this.
Need to get help for our TWO in the middy.

DZ technically v competent, as so many Euro sides are. Wonder why we can’t be so proficient?
In any event we’ve played pretty well though some careless passing and wrong options taken moving forward.
It would be good to see Tonev get more involved though he’s not getting as much support on his flank compared to the Izzy/Mubarak side.
As the game wears on, they will go all out for a goal. It would be some achievement to hold them out. We definitely need to score next.
