  1. anybody going to lisbon in may ? any flight hotels pubs things happening etc etc any information would be most welcome cheers

  2. Robinbhoy,

No qualms about Griff, Jamsie or Paddy for that matter.

I thought several new starts tried hard yesterday, some too much, ( Gamboa, GMS, Christie), all trying to take their chance.

Bitton assumed a role, scored a great goal, but he’s not Broonie. He also is not the right fit for our future captain Stuart Armstrong.

On the lack of support. Unbelieveable.

As I said I sat beside TBB yesterday. Last time I did, last season, the same guys were shouting the same idiotic abuse, from the same vantage points, as yesterday. You know insightful contributions like “ffs” or “shoot” when someone is 40+ yards from goal or ” just f&@kin hit it/him”.

Some will say that if you paid to get in then you are allowed to express your view. I would argue that just because you have a loud mouth and an intemperate nature doesn’t necessarily make you adequately equipped to contribute positively.

Wow, a Celtic supporter on match day impersonating a CQN blogger. Who’d have thought?

  3. I thought Christie had a good spell after half time up to and including the 2nd goal. He was trying so hard that towards the end he was a burst ball. He took up some intelligent positions and receives the ball on the half turn like all good players do in that position. I feel a bit sorry for him as when he gets a chance it’s usually in an experimental team. If given a run in a full strength team I think he would do well.

Sometimes the road is bumpy and narrow, but we walk it alone, or together, in prayer, or hope, or in silence.

    We all walk it.

  16. *** GOALS FOR SHAY ***

    Good afternoon all.

Another wee plug for our brand new competition, “Goals For Shay” which will commence on Saturday 13th January 2017. Dead easy – Simply pick 1 single unique team each week over the 10 week period, and the entrant with the highest aggregate goals scored will take the entire prizepot.

The cost of entry is £10 per team entered and if you pay before 14 January 2017 you get awarded a free joker to get double points when you decide to play it. You can also buy one more additional joker for just £5.

The prizepot will consist of 50% of the £10 entry free. The other 50% plus ALL of the money raised from the additional joker option will go to support Walk With Shay.

Fergie has a good kick at him in the 1st half, only think he kicked that day as he spent most of it running away from Bobby Murdoch

  18. blantyre tim I’m gonnae fly back to dublin on the friday night then on to glasgow sat morning not missing a treble

  19. Big Fraser v Artur 1-1 at HT.

Artur might’ve done better, Fraz not much chance with header right in at the post. ‘Keepers just don’t dive to their full-length in that situation, with that post awaiting their heid!

1-2 now for Fraser. Artur blameless.

  20. Bertie Auld has signed another batch of copies of That Season in Paradise and I’m going to collect them later this afternoon.

If you’d like one of these signed copies simply order the book on cqnbookstore.com and we will post first class tomorrow, so you’ll receive it on Tuesday for UK addresses.

All orders will be sent first class and straight away this week. We also have copies of the 50th Anniversary of Lisbon DVD and book and much more.

Paul Dykes’ Hoops Stars and Stripes has been named by the Scotsman as one of their Sports Books of 2016 so congratulations to him.

Kenny of the Celtic is also a great read, especially for those watching Celtic in the 1970s.

Res 12? As always Persistence beats Resistance. Avoid toys out the pram stuff, not time for that……..yet!

Is your old man going to Lisbon? Willie Wallace called me for details about it during the week. He is unsure whether to take the family over to Glasgow or Lisbon.

You are right in your latest post. I was in contact with Auldheid last night after reading E-Tims.

There are no fat ladies singing but it is always painstakingly slow. Guys are active at moment and will report back when ready.

I called BRTH on both matters and await his return call.

Eye-watering prices paid down there for defenders who couldn’t lace his boots.

Southampton have done as well out of us wi transfers over the last few years as they have with Liverpool!
