  1. LEFTCLICKTIC on 14TH OCTOBER 2017 5:02 PM

    Memo to Doris De Vries Sorry for doubting you and thank you for a couple of good saves

    *fully concur here, I like the way he was directing the players when kicking the ball out.

  2. For me Boyata was outstanding and my MOM, Paddy, Gamboa & De Vries all get honorable mention.

    Thought KT looks a bit jaded, Callum not at his best, Ollie & Ebouie didn’t convince me today.

    I know the running joke about the slump but either teams are massively upping their game against us or we are gone off the boil a bit.

  3. scoreline flatters dundee , glad to get the 3pts.

    hats off to DDV , 3 great stops.

    2 or 3 of our team having an off day.

    special mention to CG thought he played well today , some great runs and crosses into box and has the pace to get back unlike some.

    PR mom.

  4. Well done Celtic.

    All that mattered today was 3 points.

    A lot of players out, hopefully most will return on Wed.

    A couple of great saves by DDV. Well done him.

    Boyata growing in stature, taking responsibility and organising as well now. I had doubts about both, it’s joyous when Celtic players that you doubt prove you wrong.

    Once again a couple of sneaky late challenges on Kieran go unpunished, disgraceful what happens o him on a game by game basis.

    Hail Hail

  5. Our game at the fatherland isnae being broadcast over on Wednesday although Anderlecht/QSG is.

    *Not on this continent

  7. agree re KT , looking a bit jaded , but no wonder being selected to play out of position at both international and domestic games also giving him the captains arm band so early in his career may not be doing him any good imo.

  8. Wolves have been a revelation under former Valencia and Porto boss Nuno Espirito Santo, with the flair of fellow Portuguese Diogo Jota inspiring the side to second in the table.

    He’s twenty years old.

    At eighteen,he was telling players what to do.

    Big enough and old enough,the young fella was brought up on legends.

    He’s sure working his ticket to be another one.

    Having watched some of it, I would agree. At least Liverpool showed some signs of wanting to win the game.

    i agree with your sentiments but he still looks jaded and not at his best.

    I ‘m not surprised if Keiran’s not quite at his best. He’s bound to be carrying a few knocks, the way refs allow the opposition to foul him with impunity.

    Not just the Scottish refs either, the same thing happened in Slovenia.

  16. Not a great team performance but some good individuals.

    Agree KT looked jaded unusually for him he missed a few tackles.

    De Vries was excellent at shot stopping but his distribution is to slow.

    Gamboa was good.

    Brendan needs to vary it more we have been far to predictable at home.

    Far to many passes went behind men today stopping momentum and our lack of off the ball movement was worrying.

    Paddy was excellent but was hoping he would have been used more centrally to force their defenders to work harder.

    Watched Real Madrid in last champions league match were their passing was not producing much.Zidane altered tactics by playing long balls behind defense to utilize Ronaldo’s pace.

    This forced the opponent to back up a bit and stretched the field with the result being Reals passing game became more dangerous with extra room to work.

    We need this sort of variation in our play.

  17. Not read back.

    With a pal gifting me a ticket upstairs today I took the chance to go sit in different sections.

    1st half north stand right above corner flag and the green brigade. I thought the team did all right given the number of changes. We have quality back up in every position. All that was missing was the final ball. Wee paddy immense but also unlucky.

    Several times passes from mid to front came up short. Seem to stick on the pitch. Anyone else notice this.

    2nd half. We could have scored 6. Dundee could have scored 3. Again the ball was short several times.

    By the way more game management from Dallas. Serious foul play against paddy and keiran. But no one on a booking gets sent off.

    Cheat.

    Anyways. Well done Celtic.

    Griff. Please practice going round the goalkeeper and give up the free kicks for a while

    Love saint stivs.

  18. i’ve not been on for a couple of week and it seems to be quiet on here, have i missed something as a lot of the usual posters seem to be awol.

  19. BR: “In terms of our performance, we weren’t as fluent as I would have liked us to be.” #SPFL

    ======

    BR: “In parts of the game we were creative but at other times we were too loose with our passing.”

    =====

    BR: “I said to the players before the game, we’re going into a run of fixtures now and champions do that little bit extra.

    =========

    BR: “You have to step up, there are a lot of games that require a lot of concentration and lots of changes for us today.”

    =======

    BR: “I thought, bearing all of that in mind, to get the result, cleansheet and three points was a brilliant result for us.”

    ====

    BR: “I thought @dundeefconline did well today, I was impressed and I think they have some good players.”

    =======

    BR on de Vries: “You see today why I have him in the team. Testament to how professional he is and how hard he’s worked.”

    ==

    BR: “Towards the end when the ball was coming into the box he showed his agility and concentration to make the saves.”

    ======

  20. was that a new pitch that we were playing on today agree lots of our passes coming up short ,stoping the momentum of our forward play.

  21. Gerryfaethebrig on

    BR more or less saying De Vries & Gamboa were our two best performers which is testament to our squad as they have hardly played, by all accounts the whole squad going through a full training session at Celtic park right now with Broony going full pelt … only first team player not going through this session is Lustig

  22. BR: “Overall I was really pleased with the result.

    ===

    Dorus de Vries also addressed the media after making his first competitive start in over a year.

    ===

    DD: “Such a lovely ground to play football. It’s been over a year since my last competitive game so I was looking forward to it.”

    ======

    DD: “You never know when your opportunity is going to come along and when you come in you want to keep that cleansheet.”

    ===

  23. Just in from CP. A disjointed Celtic made for a good, entertaining game. Passing was poor and in the first half our midfield, Kouassi apart, were missing. McGregor and Ntcham had a better second half but Dundee didn’t really trouble DDV until Kouassi went off and they started to find gaps in the final third.

    MOTM was Paddy with Gamboa, Boyata, Kouassi and DDV the best of the rest.

    We’re at the time of season where we play teams who have time to prepare and come up with a game plan against us, whilst we are just seeing who’s fit, who’s not tired and sending them out. Hibs had a week to prepare for game at CP, Dundee two weeks for today’s game,. Hibs will have all week to prepare for Hampden whilst we have a kick about with some minor German mob, and Aberdeen now have ten days to prepare for the Pittodrie top of the table clash as they have a free weekend next week.

    Winning seven and drawing two of first nine games whilst chopping and changing the team (personnel and formation) to try to keep players fresh and at their best for European games shows the strength in depth and winning mentality we have with the current group of players and management team. Yet we still have greeting faced, wingeing @holes in our suppport who moan and groan at a misplaced pass, or shout abuse at someone who’s not having a good game (Ntcham was the boo bhoys chosen one……….until he scored). Thank god for the Green Brigade, non stop support, start to finish, no matter how we are playing.

    It’s a temporary pitch for this season. The new desk pitch will be in for next season.

  25. 2nh half half i watched from the top corner at the jock stein / main stand area.

    Just one error in your post. Describing the clowns as “supporters”.

    Amazed at the end too, lucky if there was 15,000 left at a nail-biting finish.

  27. Massive 3 points from a squad team…..well played BR….I only saw some of the match…..only complaint….to the poster hoping LH got a game today….sorry….nope ;-))
