  1. Special mention for DDV…..when I saw his name on the team sheet….I got even more nervous…..very happy to b proven wrong….he was immense;-))

    FTSFA

    H.H.

  2. thought a bit disjointed at times. passes going behind the man. sometimes we try to walk the ball into the net. but 3 points is all that matters.ktf.

  3. Got to be pleased with 3 points as we had a patchwork team against a fired up Dundee.

2 great saves and one very good one from DDV.

My favourite moments were, in reverse order:-

    3) The goal after some free kick distance cheating by Dallas

    2) The Green Brigade Banner

    1) A wee cameo on the 10th minute where Paddy paid homage to Jinky by making their left back Holt play the part of big Davie Provan.

Only difference was that Paddy nly beat him twice as he corkscrewed; Jinky would have gone for, at least, one more.

  4. Well done Celtic, not great today but not helped by a number of mitigating factors.

Paddy, Gamboa, DDV and Boyata the pick of our Hooped Heroes

Cap doffed to the Green Brigade for, without doubt, one of their best ever displays.

  5. Bhoys, how did Moussa look/play when he came on ?

He had 2 games with France U21’s so hopefully getting a bit match fitter

  6. Cowiebhoy

He didn’t add much in my opinion. I don’t think he was helped by our overall play however.

  7. HT

We really need to get out this slump :-))

I wasn’t there, but CMcG was rotten :-)))))))

  8. Evening all

Just home. Not been on of late as phone/work/web issues. And having nothing to say!

Actually quite enjoyed the game though we had a few guys off the boil. Dull 2nd quarter and eccentrically reffed ( at best) but some good play at times ppfrom both teams. Olivier was pretty poor first half and I would have had him subbed at HT. Shows what I know.

Excellent showings by Dedryk , Christian G and I thoughr Nir B was decent too. Eboue K faded after a bright start. Dorus DeVries’ distribution was iffy in the first half but 3 fine saves will have done him a power of good. On the way over to CP with my brother-in-law we both said we wanted more from Paddy Roberts. He was – aside from a dull spell from 25 to 40 mins in – superb. A joy to watch.

Liked the banner a lot but less keen on the Jimmy Bell song which got a mercifully brief outing.

I head to Munchen in a state of some trepidatiom but also with a fair bit of hope too.

  9. Not long in from game,so before I read back.I thought we played well today without hitting the heights and our goalie won us the full 3points in the end.If you forget who Dundee manager is then I thought they played well and made us work for the win.

  10. Cowiebhoy

There are a few candidates worthy of a place on a banner of that nature!

You’ve been desperate for wee Calumn to have an off day! :-)

He wasn’t great today but it’s a long time since that could have been said.

  11. South Of Tunis on

    Bayern Munich 5- Freiburg 0.

90 minutes of pacy and very skilled pass and move . Bit profligate , they created and missed another 3 very good chances . Prone to over elaboration and some Hollywood shots from long distance . Would guess they had 70 % possession.Hard to say how good they are defensively .-Freiburg were unable to get at them.. Very good in midfield with fabulous intelligent movement up front. . Really really good at keeping the ball . Give them the ball and you might have to wait a long time to get it back.

Guy sitting next to me said it was the best they’ve played this season.

  12. DOC-3:35pm,said the exact same to my dad at game then he pulls off a couple of great saves and we both said who cares about his kicking:-)))

  13. Canny understand folk complaining, most the squad just got back to Lennoxtown yesterday, injuries to beat the band, players getting fouled with impunity yet folk still find the time to stamp their feet and scweem and scweem.

Yous are lucky you follow Celtic ffs

  14. Juve, 1-2 down at home to Lazio, 96th minute penalty after VAR consulted, penalty saved, Juve’s first home league loss since August 2015.

  15. South Of Tunis on

    VAR ?

Ref gave Bayern penalty . VAR said no .

Great result for Serie A – Rube 1 -Lazio 2 . If Napoli beat Roma tomorrow night -they’ll go 5 ahead of Rube

  16. Haven’t read back but I presume I echo anyone who saw the game: we miss our captain too much. After 15 minutes or so, our midfield disappeared. Kouassie hasn’t played for long enough but Ntcham and, especially, Calmac, were very poor. Did Calmac make a single tackle all afternoon? His passing was the poorest I’ve seen from him in a long time.

(I know the former scored a great goal.

I thought our 2 best players were Gamboa and the goalie, who must have been MOM after those saves.

  17. Dallas wasted more time today than any Dundee player, totally incompetent, but we all know why he is there

  18. Kilmarnock FC are a bit of an enigma for us, we love tae label them kilmasonic or the templars, well I do, but even with their “huns without bus fares” accusations they do have a pretty strong Celtic background. Hard tae believe in the land that time forgot.

They are the oldest professional club in the country, only 2 years younger than Queens Park and older than the now defunct deidco and took part in the first ever official SC game against the future World Champion Renton.

They were formed by a group of cricketers, makes a change fae rowing enthusiast, and played a game of football akin tae rugby, hence the name of their park. However after much persuasion by Queens Park they switched to the version of the sport known as Association Football or to give it its bastarised English and North American name soccer.

They have won the League and LC once and the SC 3 times being runners up in all 3 competitions 4 5 and 5 times respectively and in one of their League runners up years they also finished the same in the SC thereby missing out on a double, the same the following year with the LC.

Their Celtic connection includes as manager James Edward, Malky MacDonald (2), Willie Fernie and Tommy Burns.

Malky was the most productive of the 4 taking them tae both the SC and LC Finals in his 1st term and then returning after he who boasts about deidco supporters “bashing” their wives after losing walked out on the newly crowned champions, going all the way tae the UEFA Cup semis losing out tae beaten finalists Leeds, incidentally that same year the Pars and Arabs also fared well in this tournament with the latter beating Barca home and away.

I can recall sitting watching the SC Final, the second ever to be shown live, and both my parents were cheering for Killie, not because of a dislike of fawkirk although that widnae be too hard but more out of their affection for Malky.

Unfortunately he lost his job tae the Wee Mhan’s favourite linesman, lol, whose only claim tae fame was as goalkeeper for kilmarnock juniors.

Oh aye and Malky also had an unbeaten record as caretaker manager of the national team taking over from ex jambo, hun and fawkirk player john prentice who statistically held the worst record of any Scotland manager in his first four matches in charge.

Unfortunately they, like other clubs out there, have had in recent times an incestuous relationship with the deid side which has rubbed us Tims the wrong way.

Now they have Celtic coveted both as player and manager Stevie Clarke in charge it might be quite difficult tae dislike them again.

  19. GARY67-5:55pm,well said, there was a few moaning around us today,my dad was one of them:-)))

  20. So how was Liam when he came on ?

Always thought he had the potential to cover for Broonie

Not sure Brendan sees that though

Did I say its scorching here today :-)

And not a Hun to be seen – perfect

Hail Hail ( my iPad says it needs to cooool dooon)

  21. Just noticed that Brentford had a quite credible victory over Millwall who had Filip Twardek on the bench. Also noticed that he who ended Paul George’s Celtic career was missing again. Karma.

  22. COWIEBHOY-I thought he played well and isn’t scared to look for the ball, the Bhoy done good:-))))))

  23. Cowiebhoy

He was ok but fluffed a free kick. Not sure why it has not worked out for LH but fear his ship has sailed. Of the three subs the one who impressed me most was Ajer though Moussa D did have one great pass.

ma heids buzzin trying to work you out.never again.

  25. Fairhill Bhoy

Aye the wee man’s free kicks ( and corners) are really poor these days. Saving a good one of each for Wednesday!

  26. My brother informed me that big boab Malcolm

Him of the autograph that ended in ftp.

Is going around Barlanark in an ice cream van .

Don’t know why , but one lad went up to the van and asked for 10 cones in a row.

Apparently he was not to pleased.

  27. We need Moussa to get his mojo back, We need to get Broonie, Jozo & Armstrong back.

KT needs a week or two R&R, but we the important schedule we are facing we have to leave him soldier on, but the Bhoy looks exhausted.

As a team we don’t look quite as imperious when teams press us high up & disrupt our possession game, we need a PlanB to cope with that.

Am a little scared of Bayern game, I’d take a narrow defeat in away game right now.

  28. At match today. 3 pts. Passing not great. Goalie played well.

    Onwards.

TONTINE TIM on 14TH OCTOBER 2017 7:10 PM

    But, each to their own
