    I was thinking the same when Dundee had 3 men forward when our goalie had the ball at his feet. They were forcing him to kick it long. We had nobody in our midfield looking to receive it, a la our captain.

     

     

    Imo, we are seeing the effects of so many of our players playing far more games than the rest of the SPFL. That plus the time the others have to prepare for our games, usually at least a week.

     

     

    Here’s hoping our manager is able to field Brown, Armstrong and Simunovic on Wednesday.

     

     

    I would want to see the first 2 playing next Saturday and Jozo against Aberdeen.

    Dallas. 10 yards. It’s not difficult. Look at the cut of the grass. It was one and a half strips from the “D” at the edge of box to the penalty spot.

     

     

    Most time Dallas only measured the equivalent of 1 strip.

     

     

    My maths tells me that means 7 yards at most I.e. 2/3 rds of 10.

    I’d be over the moon to see Jozo back against Bayern, Dedryck was Quality today, I’d be a lot more confident if we had Broonie in there – Kojo faints.

     

     

    The Great thing is. Bayern just walloped a fine Team.

    When he isn’t in the team that’s when you realise how good Scott Brown is, I have posted on here for a few years (apologies for that :-) Scott will be remembered as s Celtic legend long after his boots are hung up, he is a far more important footballer than a great footballer …… ffs even Scotland fans realise how important our Scott is

     

     

    Hope all the Celtic fans heading to Munich (& the Chapelhall ones already there) have a great trip

    *you must have led a very sheltered life if you don’t know that “he who boasts about deidco supporters “bashing” their wives after losing” was waddle or as they called him deedle dawdle, he actually said that on an interview in the 70’s that was broadcast. As for wee jinky’s favourite linesman, after asking the wee mhan tae run the line in a Scotland practice game Jimmy refused and walked away. The next Celtic/Killie game ended 6-0 tae us and the wee mhan was unplayable, seemingly after the game Jimmy went up tae torn face mccrae and said no bad for a linesman ya useless roger hunt.

    The Hibs semi final and the away game to Aberdeen are MUCH more important IMHO.

     

     

    Save Broony, Jozo and Stuart for these two games.

     

     

    Then concentrate on Anderlecht at home.

    Sad news from Dad that Tom Elliott passed away, I was in school with David (same year), his Son, a good competitor.

     

     

    Tom taught me how to drive.

     

     

    An excellent driving instructor.

    *he used tae work with the Household before he became a driving instructor. I used tae go tae games in the Lomond CSC with his brother Geordie.

    “It’s down to us and our mentality,” Paddy said. “We’ve got that right now and we’ll have it for a while. We will keep going in training and in games, working the same way and showing the same focus which is instilled by the manager.

     

     

    “Right now, we don’t really think about it. We just go out there to try and get the three points. Nothing else really comes into our heads, about being unbeaten or anything like that. We just try not to lose.

     

     

    “Of course, the manager here is great. He wants us to do certain things but he also wants us to use our imagination and creativity.

     

     

    “That’s where our best football comes from, just playing off the cuff and improvising, creating chances and scoring goals and we’ve done that brilliantly at times this season.” “You saw that last season as well, the desire to win is huge here. We love that buzz of winning and not wanting to lose is the most important thing.

     

     

    “You saw that in the way we got the draw against Hibs last time out – we could even have nicked the win in the end.

     

     

    “Just not losing is our mentality right now. We’ve had that throughout the season. It has put us in good stead and hopefully we can continue that.

     

     

    “Everyone is in a good mood right now – we’re winning games and playing good football and that’s what we like.

     

     

    “Obviously, we know that we need to win games but we still go out there and have fun and everyone has a smile on their face.

     

     

    “The main thing for us is to enjoy it – there are always going to be bad times in football so we need to be able to enjoy this.”

     

     

    Celtic have been able to eek out games with late goals, something that Roberts puts down to the Parkhead side’s superior fitness.

     

     

    “The coaches here work us hard on our fitness off the ball. We keep going to the end.

     

     

    “We made a few substitutions, which we can do. We have quality off the bench. It’s about the big squad we have. In the last 20 minutes, we can turn the game on its head and turn up the tempo. When teams get tired, we can really go at them and try to get the win.”

    On the money….put on a show on Wednesday and hope for the best. The Orcs await us in the League Cup Final and a hand picked MIB is ready for Pittodrie.

     

    I really think the rest of the country would love Aberdeen to pump us. For that reason alone, I suggest we go toe to toe with them and give them a spanking.

    Big Dedryck was awesome today, Magic.

     

     

    If Jozo is beside Dedryck, Celtic can beat Bayern in one of the most impressive stadiums in Europe.

     

     

    If Jozo isnae there we might need to settle for a draw.
