Now, I’m usually a half glass full type of guy, but we could be a couple down.
Irrespective of the final score – and I hope we murder them – but it is a p!sh lineup.
Christie’s main attributes are blunted by being out of position – he needs to be behind the front to use his best features – similar story with Ntcham. Bad enough to lose OE, but shuffling square pegs into round holes makes the problem worse by harming other players’ performance, rather than better. Get a striker on and let Christie and the other midfielders play their natural game, rather than hamstringing them in an unfamiliar position.
I love Lenny, but I think he’s made a complete bollocks of this team selection / shape. Striker on – preferrably Paddy for fitness if nothing else (haven’t seen enough of Ajeti to be confident of fitness).
Probably Broonie off, or maybe Ntcham – Christie to take ten steps back so the game is in front of them where he is more used to playing.
Big Game – Odd Team Selection – same result as has happened on previous occassions.
