  2. LAST MAN STANDING 11 WEEK 7

Good evening to everyone who sucessfully managed to negotiate Week 6 and commiserations to those who…..what’s that Skippy ? Everyone picked a winner ? And they’re all through to Week 7 ? Don’t believe it….you’ll be telling me next that The Rainjurzzz are cummin’

Well, I did say last week that no-one should have a problem picking a winner from this weeks fixtures. ??

Joking aside, well done everyone. Just goes to show how easy this predicting stuff is.Allegedly.

Week 7 fixtures are listed below. Once again all the Big Teams are available to pick, as well as The Rangers.

Take note that our first fixture next weekend takes place on FRIDAY EVENING, so if anyone is going to be brave enough to pick Aberdeen or Hibs, you need to get your picks in early.

Marc will send an e-mail later this evening to let everyone still in the competition know who they have picked to date.

    Good Luck everyone

Anybody on the blog see jinky play a normal game – against Stirling albion of stranraer reserves – what was he like in run of the mill matches ?

  5. okay missus storms upstairs why, just been watching a programme about the late bobby moore ,the focus is on the 66 world cup ive said to her many times when west germany scored me and my dad were cock a hoop ,high fives and all that for some reason tonight she could not see the funny side of it ,not that there is one and goes awol, look im not going to pretend I wanted England to win coz my old man would be turning in his grave, every time England play I want them to get beat that’s just the way it is hh,,

  6. For my penance last night I watched the 5-1 game from 2016.

You know the one when we trounced the Therangers with a Dembele hat trick?

Yes you do the one that produced the first nail in Eat the Breid’s P45.

    To the point.

We had De Vreis, Toure, Sviatchenko, Bitton, Armstrong, Roberts, Dembele featuring for one part or another.

None of these players are around any longer.

Instead we see McGregor, Christie, Morgan, Ajer. Edouard, Ntcham and others on permanent contracts and featuring regularly.

Boyata and Benkovic I regard as stop gaps, as fine as they may be.

Brown, Captain Fantastic, Lustig of the everlasting legs, a rejuvenated Forrest, a resurrected Sinclair, Rogic who is maturing like a fine single malt and the elusive Griffith still remain.

However, it looks to me with my simple happy clapping outlook, that Brendan is successfully transitioning to a side of his own men who are loyal and fully committed to the Rodger’s Style of play.

I was always a wee bit dubious about McGregor, I preferred Christie, but he is blossoming in his quarter back role with the freedom and time to find space and distribute passes.

The prospect of this current Celtic crop flourishing further is one that should have us salivating with anticipation, and the rest of Scottish football searching for a dark space beside the next Sevco manager.

Sheer deflection by SKY and SMSM totally and utterly done, to take away from the categoric statement from Neil Lennon about Scotland’s shame. Fabricated fake news where Sevco supporters just had to get in on the act with the Morelos ‘object’ watch out for the next summit meeting where everyone is as bad as another and the is no racism in Scotland.7

Brendan is building a very young good team, always remember an early interview when speaking about Callum MacGregor (who I thought after his exploits at Notts Co we would punt for half decent money but not much) … Brendan said, and I paraphrase, Callum just wants to learn and listens to everything you tell him to do… Callum MacGregor is turning into a very fine footballer with plenty of his best footballing years in front of him
