The shame of it all for me is – if this site is a litmus test – that any signings we make now will carry an air of deflation (mixing my metaphors there) and that folks will already be unimpressed because they’ve talked themselves into a corner. I keep trying to remember how I felt when Hooper or Wanyama were signed – or indeed that Darryl Murphy.
What kills me is the cynicism – The Green Brigade decision is seen as a ploy, etc etc…
We don’t know we’re living – for all Celtic’s faults in preparation etc – bile free for the past two seasons – these days without the hate mob are to be treasured.
My Celtic – it reminds me of John Wayne talking about the Great Director John Ford – He might be a b*****d, but he’s my b*****d.
I wish Celtic were perfect, but then, I often wish I was too.
Take a minute, and think back of the times Glasgow Celtic have made you smile, made you proud, gave you a voice you never knew you had.
Just heard the commentator on the Forest/Watford game talk about that ‘memorable night’ when we beat Barcelona…

I would like to see Mathews playing wide right on Wednesday. He has the pace to get up and down the park, his movement for his goal was what we need.

I really don’t understand why players representatives don’t work weekends. That’s crazy during transfer windows. There are only a couple of months out the year that players can generally move, agents get huge pay packets and signing fees when a player moves. Why don’t they work when they need to work during the short windows? Not like they’re up to a huge amount during the rest of the year.

Like yourself, I enjoyed the match yesterday. Glad we got the comeback, so as not to spoil your birthday. Onwards and upwards to Wednesday.

Rogic was very goo yesterday but he was limited with the playing system we employ.
He often had his head up and eyes forward but there was zero movement ahead of him so only options were sideways and backwards passes.
Also on to many occasions his fellow midfielders were standing within a few feet taking themselves out the play and denying Rogic space and options.
The criticism of Watt was unfair as he apart from the miss was neat and tidy despite being played in a role not suited to his talents.
The standing roles afforded to our team leaves gaping holes all over the field and our central defenders are continually exposed with our poorly implemented playing system.
The constant lateral and backwards passing followed by the inevitable hoof and hope to our outmanned forwards does not work so its baffling why we have persisted with.
We may well make good signings but unless there is a radical rethink in tactics and systems then I don’t think we will see much difference.

Bilingual positivity – your twists will be worded shortly. :-)

I agree, Matthews really layed down a marker for a first team shirt.
If Boerrigter can play maybe need to deploy him at RB.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully if he does sign, he’ll be playing in the CL and not the Europa (well maybe in that later).
for the record that’s Matthews at RB
If Boerrigter is fit for the wing.

Cheers for that.
Always remember that night. Sporting were a good side as well. We destroyed them.
I see Sean Connery is 83 today !!!

The sporting night was one of my favourite nights in the jungle. Didn’t go to the jungle much as I was always with my uncles at the games.
My mate had an air horn with him that night and the noise was superb. He would probably get banned for it now..o)
