Many thanks to all who expressed condolences, thoughts and prayers for the repose of the Soul of my mate, Neil Greene.

    May your kindness be rewarded.

  3. TBJ Praying for Oscar Knox on

    Ohits

I was at lourdes from 73 until 77….

A right few good players around my time… jim and john marr… davie murphy and a few others.

I had a mate called danny rose.. darksider… played for st mirren too. He ended up in hong kong playing in same team as George best.

When i attended school at lourdes.. it was a miracle to make it through each day

  5. Seem to be new rumours of Pukki signing. Does his game for Schalke last week make him ineligible for CL if we qualify or does the fact that they were playoffs mean he can play, anyone know?

  6. TBJ Praying for Oscar Knox on

Sorry pal… didnt catch that your mate had passed .. I included him in my prayers at mass today. .. god rest his soul

  7. Well I for one look forward to welcoming Pukki to Celtic.

I remember thinking the boy had some talent when we looked at

the footage when his name first surfaced.

I completely agree he seems like a good supporting striker.

I personally would have prioritised other targets, but who knows

what’s going on with them behind closed doors…

Also spotted a rumour linking us with Jonathon Soriano.

Now this boy has a good scoring record.

To be fair -as others have posted, we need to keep in

mind the standard of opposition when making comparisons

Its time for some balance on here , its alright asking questions of certain people at the club but some of the stuff on here has been absolute gash. TOHG played with the LL and they got it tight some weeks from the fans, its the way of the football fan because everyones used to be an expert for 90 minutes on a Saturday . Now with this Internet they are experts 24-7 .

There is an observable difference between occasional concern and constant negativity. I don`t find it too difficult to know which posters to scroll past now.

Concern about negative outcomes seems to be a human trait but concentrating on negativity is quite another matter. I believe KK`s comment above sums up the motivation behind the posts of too many on here now.

PS Keep it coming with the rhyming slang…….lightens things up a bit!

PPS I thought Rogic was excellent yesterday. I watched Wanyama on MOTD and I am being serious when I say I believe Rogic will become much more effective than Big Victor was.

Long time no see… Where’s ya bin ?

Your Big Uncle John would have something unrepeatable to say about a lot of our new-style ‘supporters’.

My big Uncle John and my Father would have been in trouble sorting out the new-style ‘supporters’

BT Thanks to you and the good lady for the lift the last time I was up the road – please pass on my very best regards to the family bud.

  11. Don’t agree there is too much negativity here, after all it is a forum and surely all points of view can be aired!! I mean do we want to live in cuckoo land where everything is great when it is not? Let’s be realistic. Celtic is a huge fish in a very small pool and we are being suffocated by that both quality and financially, but that is the reality of it sadly. What we do about it is a totally new dimension for others to ponder. Sure the EPL is attractive but looking at the finances of the majority of the so called “big” clubs is frightening and are we sure it will not follow a similar fate to the large banks eventually.

Anyway for what it’s worth we need 3 players, a centre half like Paul Elliott, a brain like Lubo and a striker like Henrik and we will win all.

    Happy days

    love you all

I have been known to pap people out of my car at traffic lights when they cross a line of acceptable constructive criticism and verbally abuse our club.

Its a shame that some on this site only want to hear nice cuddly stuff. Its also a shame that their lack of tolerance allows them to cast judgement on others with a different viewpoint (the tired old you are a hun jib is really really pathetic. TonyDonnelly take note.

Whether you like it or not there is a whole lot wrong at CP and most of it is self inflicted. Pretending it isn’t happening helps take the pressure off the Board – and by god they need pressurised into doing the right thing.

  14. Paddy Gallagher on

I remember Paul Elliot having a poor first season then going on to be a very fine player.

I see we only managed a draw ať home yesterday. Groundhog season ?

  16. Huge shame we couldn’t have got Finbogason earlier in the window.

2 goals yesterday against Ajax……6 goals and 2 assists in the first 4 league games!!

If you read my post above I agree that questions need to be asked but there is a way of going about it and on here recently there have been too many people crossing the line with some of the stuff they are posting.

    ernie,

You are in good humour this morning .

  20. Marrakess Express @ 12;13,

We’ve been Billy Cotton since preseason friendlies started,…

Do you know, when wee got stuffed in the Bavarian Torfest, someone posted as way of an excuse that they wanted it more than us.

Others pointed out it was a meaningless friendly.

Well lasy Tuesday Karagandy wanted it more than us and it wasn’t a meaningless friendly.

BTW Good shout from FFM on moonhowling duty.

Pink Floyds Animals album is a very underrated work IMO!

If Derk hadn’t gotten injured, maybe results would have been different recently.

He ain’t no Henrik, but when the KoK was no longer available to Barnes it was goodnight Vienna for him.

    few short news from me.

    1. New street in Karagandy got the name of Shakhter Karagandy club after their success in Europe this year.

    2. Shakhter Karagandy will very likely play same squad on Wednesday, without the changes. They are not going to buy new players this transfer window.

    3. Shakhter Karagandy team will be in Glasgow tomorrow at 5 pm local time.

Still no need to abuse or try to defame somebodys virtual persons if you disagree with what they say. I fear its an education failing.

I have encountered this attitude when debating the merits of rigid beleif systems with followers of them.

In the end for them its all about faith as thats the only refuge they can take when confronted with a reasoned well presented and thought out argument.

Is it genetic now after our human development to attack and diminish those who disagree due to a need to prosper i.e the religion and to believe in the lies that are offered.

Problem is. Its a football club we are talking about or is it a business ?
