    Scullyboy , sydneytim is only highlighting the shambolic transfer policy this summer that has put our CL ambitions at risk. If you think Pedro has done a grand job then you are easily pleased and with the rest of the happy clappers help Celtic to become a club watched by 25k again.

     

     

    If we go out on Wednesday SPL league crowds will fall by 10k minimum and season ticket sales next season will not be needed as we move to pay at the gate. Without the ibrox club the only incentive for the fans is the CL. That’s why to gamble as Pedro has done is bordering on insanity.

    I was impressed by big Rogic yesterday always plays with his head up and very rarely gives away possession, strong on the ball too.

     

    Matthews was my MOM great goal for the equaliser.

     

    Big Amido looks a bit rough round the edges and needs time to settle and find his feet. Some guys round about me at the game were on his back already, I find that disheartening that a young guy from a different country can’t get a chance to acclimatize.

     

    We are supposed to be one of the best support in the world I do wish people would remember that. We as fans need to get behind the young guys and support them, moaning and groaning will not help their confidence one bit.

     

    On Wednesday the whole ground need to be as one with the players get behind them and hopefully cheer them on to a memorable victory.

    Agreed with the points about Amido requiring acclimatisation.

     

     

    Saw him at Brentford and he has taken huge strides already in those areas from that day.

     

     

    Going to stick my neck out a bit and say he will be a cult hero by season’s end.

     

     

    His rate of rapid improvement is extraordinary.

     

     

    Had forgotten Atajic! He had an eye-catching contribution, and also promises much.

    canamalar- not a myth, it is a fact and you know it.

     

     

    This is a footballing desert- very few established top quality players would ever come here.

     

    Up and coming prospects would, yes, but only as a stepping stone to the English Premiership.

     

     

    Our one big selling point hangs in the balance, and will be decided one way or another on Wednesday evening.

    Tony your like many on here who dont do criticism whatever happens. Thats fine, its allowed. In fact it makes for some good debate with those who do want to have a go at the board or manager.

     

    However your tongue is surely in your cheek mate when you suggest the blog is full of undercover huns. They sure are dedicated huns then, the same malcontents never off this site. You know who they are, the main critics, a good 20 or 30 names, on every day.

    Totally agree with your views on Rogic, Matthews and Amido. Rogic looks a real find and is starting to wise up to the Scottish game.

     

     

    There are issues on the lack of quality in some areas especially up front. Hooper did have a good game in the Cup Final but did nothing for the 5 months before that. So I would rather cheer big Amido as he develops than watch someone manipulate their exist.

    i dont think anyone at all is expecting us to sign messi, rooney or torres or anyone like that

     

    but it would be fair to say that we pay wages than

     

    all teams in holland (possibly bar 3)

     

    most teams in spain ( possibly bar 5)

     

    all teams in poland, denmark, belgium, greece,

     

    possibly all eastern european teams with only a few notable exceptions

     

     

    so for what its worth (and that might not be much) we probably pay more than 80% of european clubs, like i said i dont think that anyone on here is suggesting we buy messi or ronaldo, but suggestions that there are not good strikers in europe who would gladly take 15 to 20 grand a week are well wide of the mark

    The hooped crusader: It’s good to hear positives on rogic (and AM )from yesterday. I’m very tense about Wednesday – not the usual nervousness. Maybe there’s enough in the squad to give Lennie the option of varying play to get SK out of 2 rows of four in front of the 18 yard box.

    tamrabam- All those leagues you mention are more competitive than the SPFL.

     

     

    We pay more money than most and if a player wants to pick up £20k a week and hide or be a perpetual sicknote then Celtic is an attractive proposition. Celtic will still win the league anyway.

     

     

    If you want to play competitive football and advance your career you play in Spain or Holland.

     

    Big money available in Russia, Ukraine, Turkey.

     

     

    What quality a striker would earn £15-20k anyway?
