Paul McGinley, brilliant golfer, Ryder cup player, Ryder cup winner, Ryder cup captain and winner………. and uber Celtic fan.

Thus debunking the other “fact” that Celtic and golf don’t mix.

I’ve read some shite on here but tonight was pretty special.

  2. MWD,

I’m not a fan of golf really, I knew about this being Seve’s 60th Birthday if he was still with us. He made people want to watch Golf.

Seve would have passed through Parkheads gates. That is the Story if he played fitba.

MWD, that’s a real sport and the kit costs more……………………….:_)

  4. Has the Turket won any more money off the back of Stupid FC enough to pay for flights for him to jet in to watch his favourite two teams again wearing his ‘oor kids’ll no be fenians scarf’.

I do like golf but it’s no as much fun as winding golfers up. That is good sport in my office.

I play off of wooden spoons. Or at least I did before I was unable to play anymore about 6 years ago.

  6. Chairman of Augusta National Golf Course: “This was broadcast to over 200 countries.”

    There are only 195 countries.

  7. MWD,

I got a membership for Dumbarton Golf Club about 17, I’d Hazard (well done getting a place in the ft squad young man) a guess, that it is one of the easiest golf courses to play….. I struggled, badly.

I’d do one part of the game well but another would crumble.

Respect to those that stick with it.

MWD, there will be no” jetting in” unless its done by the South African Shyster. Mere mortals like us simply fly in and fly oot again.

  9. Leverndale 9 hole for me in my youth. The old cliff shot was a classic.

My titliest always had an affiliation for trees and water.

So it panned out a ten hour trip there and back. Didn’t expect anything else.

Bad craic,, Neil Lennon, You weren’t even just late. Tosser.

Well spoken Brendan Sweeney, Peter Lawwell, Jim Craig, Terry Dick, Norah Kelly and Fr. Tom.

Of course, the Celtic massive posted missing again. Were you all watching a freak show?

  11. A Ceiler Gonof Rust on

MWD, Leverndale, which ward where you in…………………………………..:_)

GuyFawkesaforeverhero, any chance of enlightening us as to what that post at 1.11 is about?

Only last week I watched us win the title and posted of watching it with my dad and son, wondering if i’d get to enjoy the experience again.Devastatingly i’ll not.

My dad passed away early Wednesday morning. The man who gave me Celtic and who was,and remains,my ultimate hero.No more watching the bhoys with my old man.But also no more pain for him after a couple of years of neverending and debilitating struggle, that left him housebound, against a disease ACGR correctly calls a ‘bastard’.

Even though he had been ill for a long time the end was sudden and the whole thing still seems unreal.

Thankfully he was surrounded by family in his final hours and fought till his last breath.I’ve never loved him as much.

On Wednesday the family will say our goodbyes and then i’ll rely on memories, with so many involving Celtic.

Be good to each other,it’s important.

    YNWA Dad.

  14. Babasonicos71,

my condolences to you and your family on your loss,

prayer will be said for you all

The question tells me all I need to know. Celtic Graves Society have worked to commemorate every member of our club’s first trophy winning side; 1892 Scottish Cup winners.

Today, on the exact day 125 years later, there was a service commemorating that team’s captain James Kelly.

Not for everyone obviously, I went. The original holy goalie did as well.

  17. A Ceiler Gonof Rust on

GuyFawkesaforeverhero, thanks for responding, I genuinely didn’t understand your post and was ignorant of the detail you’ve related.

Hope your day was not all negative. Sounds like a moving experience to me.

  18. BABASONICOS71,

Another “fact” debunked today is that sclaffbaw is the preserve of the rich. One clueless poster insisted this to be the case and when challenged by people with a modicum of intelligence used the argument that “yool no change ma mind”………………………….pffffft…….. ha ha. That works well on here.

    Goodnight Celtic men and wummin.

Babisconi, your memories will never leave you.

Richard Ashcroft wrote this tune in memory of his father he lost like acgr when 11years old.

    May he rest in peace.

I’ve only ever been to one such event. There were no more than about 100 people there. As far as I know they aren’t really mass participation events.

May the memories of your father make the dark days ahead brighter.
